I'm not one to make leave reviews but i had to leave one. I wish i had done my research. I should have cancelled my procedure. He didn't like being told what is needed by another doctor. He communication style was abrasive and without emotion. I have not no confidence in his diagnosis. I am going to go get a second opinion.

Late review. My son saw Dr. Zapata several years ago. Zapata said my son's weight was the only issue. Wrong. We found a competent doctor who performed a fundoplication and a pyloroplasty to correct the valves on both ends of his stomach. Today my son is feeling fantastic and, perhaps because he finally felt well, lost all the weight he needed (6 ft, 190 lbs). We were just sitting around the table talking tonight and this subject came up. For every person who finishes at the top of their class, is a bottom-dwelling Zapata. Left to his care, who knows what would have become of my son or how long he would have suffered.
