Not having enough time to study this doctor, rating him is not advisable. He seemed to know medicine and types of medication to prescribe but when challenged, was unable to offer a definitive answer. He also would not go into deeper issues and avoided the topics. Remember, the only have 15 minutes per patient!!! It is impossible to assess everyone in that time frame and the pencil pushing bookeepers who run the Medical profession now care only about numbers and bottom lines. Pity that docyors have to break their Oaths. By breaking their Oath, each and every day they destroy confidence from patients. That is why when i visit a doctor, i tell them what i need done and then wait to see if they are worth anything.

My husband was transported to CCH emergency when at which time Dr. Rosenbloom was the attending physician. Dr. Rosenbloom took the time to provide detailed information on my husband's diagnosis and clearly provided answers to all the questions we had. We were very pleased with the level of care received and again a special thank you to Dr. Rosenbloom and emergency nurses Stephanie and Wendy for going above and beyond.

Saw in emergency room and he was very brief rude and acted as if he couldn’t do anything for me but then said I don’t think this is what you have but here is antibiotics anyway ... very dismissive of my symptoms didn’t bother saying much or further looking into why I could have been having the pain I was having.

WORST DOCTOR EVER! My mom went in cause she had a hard time breathing he told her he couldn’t do anything for her, that he couldn’t fix her back her lungs or her hernia and to go home. What kind of doctors does that. He didn’t even check her out or went near her!! He should be removed as a doctor!

Terrible. Likes chatting with nurses. Wants to get out of room as quickly as possible. Cuts patient off when listing symptoms. Blames hypertensive urgency on anxiety. Very rude and arrogant. Unprofessional. Avoid. My advice is just don't get ill and stay healthy.

Went in for a back problem, he suggested I wanted light duty at my occupation (which is useless, there's no such thing) threw me a note and then acted surprised when what I actually wanted was some kind of diagnostic to see what's wrong with me (actually wanted an x-ray for PT). Told me I "could" go for an MRI, but it'd take 4-5 months, to which I said sure, why not. Asked whether I wanted to go to Hawkesbury or Cornwall, to which I replied Hawkesbury specifically.
Turns out MRI won't see you unless you've already had an x-ray within the year. Which apparently he didn't know.
Had to go back for the x-ray. Got a call for the MRI the day after for an appointment within the week, but at Cornwall instead of Hawkesbury.

So, although he wasted my time I got my diagnostic. Thank goodness he won't have back problems because everyone around him seems to do the heavy lifting.

I met him twice. He doesn't meet the requirements to be a doctor (isn't mentally competent to practise medicine; doesn't practise medicine with decency, integrity and honesty and in accordance with the law; hasn't sufficient knowledge, skill and judgment to engage in medical practice; can't communicate effectively and display an appropriately professional attitude)

He doesn't even begin to understand the concept of mental illness.

My agoraphobia is so bad that when talking to another human i can barely concentrate enough to string a sentence together. I write down what is important.

I had to drag information out of him like what tests I need and what I'm supposed to do to help myself by myself because he said that there are no doctors available anywhere and that no one would help me, as if they wouldn't be willing to help me because it was me and not because they weren't available. I had to clarify every single thing he said because my mind just couldn't comprehend that he had no interest in helping me whatsoever. Also because he makes a point of saying things that are over your head and doesn't elaborate if you don't ask, not because he thinks you understand but because he needs to have power over you and needs to be the smartest person in the room, which he wasn't anyway

Tried to talk me out of getting bloodwork, blaming all of my symptoms on my anxiety

He implied I was a hypochondriac because I have anxiety and more than one thing wrong with me at once. He wouldn't let me tell him my symptoms simply because i needed to write them down in order to remember when his stupidity frustrates and confuses me. He treated me like a complete nutjob and dismissed each and every health concern because i have mental health issues. He also didn't care that my memory is a symptom in itself. Because there are no physical circumstances in which someone would have issues with memory, right?

He basically told me that there's no hope for me and my mental or emotional health because there are no psychiatrists available anywhere and don't try to reach out to any helpline or anything which I already knew but he kept referencing the stupid bell helpline, as if anyone with serious problems uses that. He has never even heard of Wellness Together which is a government run program. So in the end he implied I both: go home and ignore my problems because they are all in my head, and to instantaneously stop being stressed and mentally ill all on my own with no guidance or medication.

On the second visit, I learned:

He doesn't understand the difference between past and present tense.

He told me that we all just have to go home and live with whatever is wrong with us and that we shouldn't even try to figure out what it is in the first place.

He told me he couldn't do anything for me because my neurological problems hadn't debilitated me yet. YET.

I kept having to ask him if we could at least TRY to find out what was wrong with me, because he kept insisiting running tests was a waste of time, since he decided my only problem (despite seeing my ALT levels) was anxiety.

He decided that because I want to see a neurologist (on the recommendation of three other doctors) that I am suddenly not going to go to a psychiatrist, as if I am incapable of doing both things.

He wouldn't give me a referral for a neurologist until I told him it sounded like he wanted me to go home and die, and started having a panic attack and crying because he wouldn't help me. He just kept trying to make me go home without any assistance of any kind. He diagnosed me as being healthy but with anxiety just by sight, trying to convince me to not get any tests done and repeating himself saying tests wouldn't come up with anything because I have anxiety. He probably never actually did put the referral through either.

He said that because I've been having these symptoms for x amount of time that there's literally nothing they could possibly do to figure out what was wrong with me and I should just go home and ignore it and wait till it all gets worse

He suggested that MS acts so quickly that I couldn't possibly have it based on nothing

He said that people like to do one test at a time and therefore I should not get more than one test done at all and that they won't find anything wrong with me, he said the same thing when trying to make me not get blood work and my ALT levels are high

In the parking lot we overheard a man and his daughter talking about how he didn't want to let them go get an x-ray for her arm which was in a sling, and he implied that nothing was wrong with her too

I was treated at the Alexandria Hospital Emergency with a severe lung infection. Dr. Rosenbloom was amazing as was the complete ER staff. He was knowledgable, honest, reassuring and very caring. He followed my case carefully and set up all the care required to deal with my issue. He made calls to Ottawa to confirm course of treatment. In today's world of feeling like a number this doctor and the entire nursing staff honestly made you feel cared for.
