I am a very senior doctor from 12th batch, Calicut Medical College. My mother, aged 80, consulted this gentleman who did NOT explain a certain procedure being performed on her (urethral dilatation). When my mother enquired about if she will have to endure pain from the procedure, he sarcastically said, "did you want me to give General Anesthesia and keep you in the hospital for 3-4 days"? We are 10 doctors in the family as children and grandchildren stationed in Australia, UK, USA and South Africa. Such behaviour should be condemned.
