It is hard to determine where to place blame when trying to obtain prescription renewals, however it should not take weeks to obtain authorizations. Follow ups from tests takes several days, even after leaving messages. Appointment times are more often behind than on time, particularly afternoon appointments. On occasions, when scheduled to see the doctor, another staff member will cover the appointment and not have a clue about your case and can not provide much needed answers to your questions. Often, it feels like a total waste of time. If you are fortunate to actually see Dr. Raj, it is time well spent. She is compassionate and knowledgeable. On occasions, a communication issues within the office, will delay things like referrals appointments, tests and prescriptions. Situations such as these only add to one's stress level.

Dr. Raj is THE BEST! After my then primary diagnosed what were cancerous tumors, as secaceous cysts FOR !18 MONTHS---- A I visited a 2nd physician who immediately took a biopsy and. referred me to Dr. Raj immediately ! Without an exceptional oncologist like her, I'm sure I'd be dead by now. When I began treatment with her, I was on a daily pills. Within about 3 months, when Dr. Raj did not see the progress she wanted, I was immediatly changed to another drug therapy. Andnow-- I'm not merely alive -- after 2 years with Dr. Raj, of the approximately 16 tumors that wereoriginally identified throughout my body, from the 2nd drug therapy she put me on on, more than half have completely dissipated--and I know there is hope for more of them to take a hike!

While it is true that Dr. Rajagopal is charming, warm, and compassionate, this is all done to distract from the fact that she does not keep up to date, doesn't educate patient's well regarding the reasons for treating, and doesn't follow through with tests results. She is also very poor about listening to the patient's desire. Unfortunately for her patients, they can't see through the thick fog of fluff to know that she isn't always practicing sound medicine.

Dr. Raj has way too many patients. When your labs come back if you don't call her, the nurse/staff will not take the initiative and call you 1st, plus you always have to go in to her office, pay a copay, lose a half day of work, just for her to say to you e.g. your immunoproteins are normal - Jiminy Cricket! Did I mention already her billing dept - they are absolutely dreadful. Check your bills carefully. They tacked on services I never received, the insurance co denied the claims. So her goons start harassing you to pay off your past due - or no more appointments until you $0.00 your balance.

I am a cancer survivor of 12+ years. I have worked with more than 10 oncologist at six treatment centers, and Dr. Raj one of the best. She is knowledgeable, caring, patient and attentive; she listens to my concerns and addresses them to both our satisfaction. She has some knowledge of natural therapies for cancer prevention and supports me in their use. (I also work with a holistic MD.) She has a tendency to run late, but I attribute this to the time she spends with ALL her patients - and not just me. She personally returns my phone calls when I have concerns about new bumps and lumps, and eases my nerves until I can be worked into the schedule (no more than a day or two). I have referred two friends and one [massage] client to her, and I will continue seeing her for my cancer-related care.

My mom got exactly what she paid for in her chemo treatments from Rajagopal. My reason for my rating was because she basically scared a 70+ yr old Sr into an acid chemo treatment protocol along with radiation treatments for a her2+ tumor which had already been removed prior. True Rajagopal was very nice and caring to my mom but where her Medical Degree should be yanked away(from my basis) was the complete failure to offer my mother another option/protocol which should have been to go on a proper Detox program along with going on a raw food diet. I think this Dr was thinking about profits. The FDA has lost complete control over this acid chemo treatment protocol! These dr's need to be locked up for injecting these toxic poisoning chemicals into weak acid bodies that are already acidic!!! They are not curing - they are killing! If you are a family member of someone who is thinking about getting chemo, I WOULD THINK TWICE! Come visit my mom and see her now if you don't believe me!!!

If you need an oncologist for breast cancer go see her. If you need help for lung cancer go to Georgetown or John Hopkins. Time is of the essence and you can't afford second guessing.
