I am a long term patient of Dr Tanya Forster. I am male, ex paratrooper and Police Officer and have severe PTSD. I initially doubted that someone of Dr Forster's age and gender could assist me and my "man" problems. I have found Dr Forster to be wise beyond her years and refreshing in her approach she is neither stereotypical nor timid. I demand high standards and Dr Forster meets them with ease, highly recommended.

I would like to give an honest and fair review here for anyone seeking counselling or psychology services like I did in the Dubbo area.I signed up to see Tanya Forster and her services were more than unhelpful. She is the stereotypical psychologist(the ones that people joke about)-the type that seems like she has only studied from a book and has no life experience. She gave me absolutely nothing that was realistic, helpful, or practical. To quote her advice, she told me to "practice relaxation techniques" such as "focus on breathing, not on worries, for 5 minutes" and then "tense up muscles, then relax them, count to 5, then relax and repeat." Also, she said, "think about a place you'd rather be, then work through each of the 5 senses about that place naming 5 of each, then 4 of each, then 3 of each." Really? This was her "helpful" advice. I got absolutely nothing out of my time spent with her. I feel what she charges is highway robbery. I would NOT recommend her at all.
