He is awful possibly negligent. Took my daughter to see him for a suspected broken thumb and he sent us for an x-ray. Never responded to us and only found out that she had a fractured thumb a week later when qscan sent us the results. They were sent to the doctor the same day as our appointment with him. So we called back and he simply referred us to the hospital. If I could give a negative score I would. If I was the licensing board I would stop him practising.

One of the nicer doctors I’ve visited in Brisbane. He was particularly good with men’s health issues and was open to writing prescriptions that my previous psychiatrist had written for me.

Don’t waste your time or money on this holy roller if you have mental health issues. He will only make them worse with insults and you will probably leave consultation in tears

I had an appointment with Dr Michael Hoeing at the clinic(who was lovely and very professional) about severe neck pain who gave great advice and told me to come back in two days if it hadn't changed to get a scan.

I returned two days later and booked an appointment with Dr Michael Okonkwo (thinking he was the doctor I saw previously) this was a huge mistake. He was incredibly rude, abrasive, patronising and obnoxious. I left the clinic in tears and quite appalled at the treatment I received, leaving in a worse condition than I arrived in.

He refused my request for scans, rolled his eyes and even accused me of drug seeking behaviour. Refused to acknowledge my concerns as to where the pain was originating from to the point of holding his hand up to stop me from talking.

As a young female I felt quite intimidated and humiliated, I would not encourage anyone to see this doctor and a further appointment with another doctor legitimised the severity of my condition.

I can only speak to the lack of professionalism of this doctor as I have had pleasant experiences with other doctors in this clinic.

Wonderful caring Dr who is very thorough. He sees my 4 year daughter ( he is is the only dr that she feels comfortable with) myself and husband along with my father who has a severe respiratory condition. Thank you Dr Michael I have total confidence in you looking after my family.

My experience was similar to the first comment - I felt uncomfortable and humiliated by this doctor. He showed no concern for my medical condition. His social skills were lacking. I cannot understand how his services can be advertised as “women’s health” on the practice website. I absolutely would not recommend seeing this doctor if you are a young female - I felt embarrassed and vulnerable under his “care”.

My daughter left the surgery after seeing Dr Okonkwo in tears. He lectured her, raised his voice to her and humiliated her. He was not interested in the medical reason that she presented for and made a cursory examination only after she queried why he hadn't even bothered.

Don't underestimate this Man, he is amazing. His positivity & infectious smile despite having to attend to people who are not feeling well is to be admired. He once surgically removed a growth from my face. Despite the fact that his hands are huge and he sang throughout, the result was flawless. There is no evidence it was there years later. My adult children also continue to see Dr Michael. Incidentally, I am female. Thankyou for all that you do.. the reception staff are so attentive as well. We will continue to see him!
