My nephew got his life back. What more can you ask?But it would have happened much faster if his parents had trusted her and actually given him his medication properly. It would not have been changed so many times. No one told her the truth of what was happening and his parents did not give his aunt (me) and his uncles permission to talk to Dr Brous. Now my nephew is over 18 and can decide what he wants on his own. He really is better. Thank you Dr Brous!!

She helped me.She could certainly help you. Considerate kind and knows her stuff.Not an easy area,this Psychiatry but there are a few good ones out there.
I think she is one.

I saw this psychiatrist for 4 years.She helped me deal with a toxic family situation much better and also with several illnesses I have.I do not get depressed any more,thanks to her.She was very fair and reasonable with accounts and always was punctual.
I was one of her adult patients .However her main work is with very difficult adolescents and young adults,
I think they really were difficult.You see a lot in the waiting room; and the way they behaved and talked to her was really dreadful.She must be a saint to put up with people like that and I dont know how she does it.
You will do yourself a favor by seeing her. I think she is a very good person and doctor.

This doctor is dangerous and opportunistic. This person has no interest in treating mental health issues and problems, she would rather the money keep coming in from her patients. If you disagree with her and attempt to have a conversation about why you disagree (especially over billing) she will press the emergency call button on you. I questioned a billing cycle and ended up having to run from the building. No, there was no yelling or getting upset. I simply questioned a bill. This has happened to a number of people with this doctor. Avoid. Her receptionist is lovely and very helpful.

She actually did you a favour because BPD is a sham diagnosis that does not exist and is code for - "I can't treat you and want you out the door". My guess is you have a mixture of PTSD, depression and anxiety. Soon BPD will be taken off the DSM it is such a crazy diagnosis.

This psychiatrist was the first I saw when I had a major breakdown 20 years ago. Unfortunately she missed a significant and primary diagnosis (BPD) which meant that her work with me over a 2 year period was pretty ineffective. Looking back it was worse than a waste of time and contributed very much to the negative outcomes and really significant losses I experienced in those first 10 years. After I was diagnosed correctly 8 years later I made real progress in managing my illness but have never recovered from the experiences I had with Dr Brous and several other psychiatrists who also missed the obvious.

This good doctor has helped me and my family.
I was an alcoholic for 20 years; and saw her for depression and anxiety after I joined AA. I didn't even need medication because of the help and support I received. from her. I have now been sober for three years and no longer need AA either.
Also my sister and family were greatly helped when my niece was depressed and could not go to school or even leave her room.
Dr Brous was patient, empathic and supportive; and the help was effective .And she has a sense of humor ,but wont see this at first.
Recommended.

Patient,thoughtful,thorough and kind.A good experience for me.She was also very considerate and bulk billed me when I needed it. I needed this help for many years and the many GP's and psychologists I saw before her never got to the point.Some of what I learnt with this doctor was difficult to hear but it was worth while.I am very glad I persisted with her. I have read what others have said below ;well it wasn' ta negative experience for me at all and I really recommend her.
