Dr Hamer is one of a kind GP - the old school where he takes the time to check in with you and your family members even if they are not attending. Yes he runs behind; but as other's say that is because he is taking the time to ensure you your visit is worthwhile. Having a family member with complex needs Dr Hamer always assist's us with all the redtape medical forms that need to be sign and at times has stepped in to be an advocate for us. It is a pity that all GP's are not like him....

An outstanding Gentleman who always has time for his patients. He is friendly and will not brush off anyone. He is very thorough and always worth the wait.

Interesting comment from one of the reviewers below calling this doctor arrogant. I found the opposite. He had a kind bedside manner and good communication skills. He often runs a little late because he takes the extra time with patients.

We feel very fortunate to have a caring and experienced Dr, a family member has very complex health and disability needs and he is always happy to do the multitude of government forms, referrals, letters and scripts. If you can get in, you may have to wait, but we find it worthwhile always.
