After very informative and helpful preparation, Dr Nichols performed bilateral knee replacements on two successive mornings. each afternoon I was up on my feet walking short distances in the hall. I was home on the fourth day and with post-op physical therapy, I was fully recovered and (almost) good as new in seven weeks. I wish I had had the surgery years earlier.

I chose Dr Nichols and Indian River Medical Center after full Miami-to-Atlanta search-and-advocacy assistance of ConnectCare3, of which I cannot say enough good things.

I had two replacements two days apart, walked the same day,, walked every day in several-week-long healing and physical therapy period. The surgery and hospitalization were a cakewalk, but the following weeks were at times difficult, but overall, much, much better than anticipated.

I could not have asked for a better surgeon than Dr Nichols, nor better surgical team and follow up staff. IRMV hospital stay was faultless. Dr NIchols has lowest infection rate nationally. I have recommended Dr Nichols to three friends who have had equally glowing experiences.

Please stay away from this Dr if u are considering joint or hip replacement my husband believed this man could fix him and died, How about multiple surgery’s for total failure of first joint replacement surgery now my husband of nearly 30 years and father of our son is gone forever because of this Dr we had to watch him die on full life support over the last surgery so please don’t chance it.

My husband had a hip replacement in July 2015. This hip dislocated twice within the first two weeks. He was diagnosed with staph and Mrsa. George Nichols popped it back in the first time and the second visit to IRMC, the E.R. Dr. Popped it back in and the site was fractured. My husband laid in a hospital bed immobile at home until Nov 20th, 2015 until we could get a true professional orthopedic specialist to remove the prosthetic. George Nichols Came to my husband's hospital room and sat in the chair and when my husband asked him what are we going to do about this, his answer was, I don't know. He got up, walked out and said, you weren't running marathons when you came in!!! This arrogant excuse for a doctor never came to my husband's room from that time forward. I would NEVER recommend him... He does not remember the oath he supposedly took!!!!! Despicable!!!!
