My husband saw Dr. Young for the first time today and WOW, was I ever impressed. The time he spent with us explaining what was going on with his cervical spine and what could be done was phenomenal. I feel confidant that we are going to be in great hands when the surgery is performed in a few weeks.

I'm always so anxious when I go to a doctor, but I had read all the above wonderful reviews, so I went in to see Dr. Young with great hopes that he would be patient with me and find a way to help my pain. To be fair, I did hit him with more than one problem at once (neck AND lower back, both with radiating pain and other symptoms), so maybe he felt as overwhelmed as I do, but still... He was impatient and critical of my way of communicating, and after my visit, during which he kept interrupting me and criticizing me for attempting to answer his questions in a way that made sense to me, I went away feeling bad about myself, very frustrated, near tears, and not helped a bit. If he hadn't been so impatient and gotten me all flustered, MAYBE, the visit would have turned out differently.

In 2004 i first saw Dr. Young for a C5-6 neck fusion and then again he did a second fusion in march of 2006, C6-7. I have never regretted see him or allowing him to operate on me. As of today i am hoping to have him take me back on as a patient 8 years later. His bed side attitude is fantastic and he really cares about his patients.

My rating of Dr. Young if I could go above a 5 on this rating it would be 20+. He is very skilled with a wonderful bedside manner. I would use him again if I needed surgery again. ar.Young did a lumbar fusion and I have no pain in my right leg or do I have allot of pain left in my back as it has only 4 weeks. So yes I think he is a great Doctor.

I had sudden cervical damage from C3-C7. He examined and explained all the damage potential outcome and several treatments. He recomended the least invasive and doesnt like to glory in his work. Four days after the initial appointment I was operated on his office arranges everything. Thanks to him I can walk with minimal residual effect. He is one of those gifted doctors. You can trust him to be direct and understanding. Its 6 years later and Im still doing good.

We live in SOCAL and although I met with several doctors (mostly their PA's!) here, I could not find a comfort zone. I learned of Dr. Young from a friend in Bellevue, WA, and made an appointment, and flew to Seattle. He is an extraordinary physician! He explained my condition to me and my options. I had/have 100% confidence in him! A few moths later, I flew up there and had the surgery. That was June, 2006, and I have never felt better. If I require future surgery on my back, I will seriosly consider following him to VA, he is that good! Thank you, Dr. Young!!

I did like my meeting with Dr. Young. Unfortunately, when the second visit came to finalize my back surgery, I was informed that he did not accept Aetna, and that was our insurance. We found it very unethical that he had a debt collector out for his $391.00 for the two office visits, where I paid the $30.00 co-pay for a specialized doctor. Just a great guy, however the office staff made a huge error the first minute. Had I known that he did not offer Aetna, we would never have bothered. I believe however, that he is quite a intelligent man with the skills needed. This was just very very unfortunate, however led me to a Doctor that I will only let him touch my back.

I got Dr. Young's name from a friend of a friend and was blessed to be able to see him. I can't say enough good things about him. I echo all of the other positive remarks I have read on this board. I am going to trust him with my back.

This guy is phenomenal in his knowledge and relational skills. He spent an hour and a half with me reviewing my MRI and explaining EVERYTHING I needed to know about my own situation and care. He even did the dictation right in front of me and cc'd me on the letter that went out to all of my docs! He's amazing...definitely worth consulting with.
