Dr Ron Tarrel is perhaps the nicest physician I have ever met. He has a excellent bedside manner and is incredibly knowledgeable neurologist with a special interest in Stroke. If he appears hurried then that is probably because he is busy. If he is stressed then perhaps he is thinking about a critical patient he has. He has taken care of many of my patients and I would have him take care of my family as well

Dr. Tarrel does not know that people who have had major depression or bipolar disorder also have cognitive impairment that persist even when moods are stable. I wonder how many patients Dr. Tarrel could have helped if he had known this. There really is no excuse for his not knowing this. There are hundreds of studies that discuss this reversible cognitive impairment. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/469460 And there are studies that discuss how this impairment can be treated. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19889129 Unfortunately, a patient who has this impairment will not get the help he or she needs from Dr. Tarrel.

As it seems with all Doc.s these days, you have to wait. At least his office has WiFi. It was well worth the wait to see Dr. Tarrel. I have literally seen over 40 doctors in the past few years and he is one of the best. He explained to me what the problem was and he is sending me on a very hopeful treatment path. Good listner and good at explaining.

He listens to what you say. Then he helps you to figure out the best treatment. I haven't felt this good in years! I wish I would have found this doctor sooner. He really knows what he is doing.
