I have no complaints about Dr. Sakkaris technical knowledge and skill but I felt sorely unprepared for a surgery that he recommended to me. It was only when I arrived at my surgical appointment that I learned that a gum graft was part of my procedure, I was to receive nitrous oxide, I was to have taken some antibiotics in advance and I was not to engage in any significant physical activity for two days after my procedure. I was furious that I could show up for my surgery and be so totally ignorant of what was expected of me. I explained that I was not prepared for the surgery and would have to reschedule. But before I could even reschedule, I received a letter from the doctor dropping me from his care. I wrote back explaining that I thought his office had a significant amount of responsibility for the fact I was not properly prepared and that he should refund my $100 down payment. He was insistent that I was fully informed and the $100 was non-refundable. Clearly there must have been multiple communication breakdowns to allow me to get to my appointment without understanding what was to happen. The fact that he so blithely blamed it all on me and then kicked me out his practice is probably a good definition of poor customer service.

Dr. Sakarris has done a bone graft and four gum replacement surgeries on me. He has been nothing short of wonderful and tolerant to the extreme. I have Sjogrens syndrome and am in his office every quarter for an exam and tooth cleaning. Because of him, I am no longer terrified of losing my teeth. He watches for every new development for dry mouth and Sjorgrens, keeps me up to date and aware. I would not change periodontists for love nor money.

Dr. Sakkaris is one of the most skilled periodontist in the state. I came to him with a very complicated case of gum resession due to orthodontic care. He completed a full lower gum graft which restored my gums to a more normal state. He is an extermly competent doctor who has changed my life. I would highly highly recommend him and would fully trust him if I were to need additional periodontal care. I also absolutely love all of his staff. They are caring, kind and understanding. Thank you Dr. Sakkaris.
