I waited 3 months to see Dr. Smith and had to leave work early to accommodate my scheduled appointment. Only to get to the office began paper work and they tell me they don’t accept my secondary insurance so I can’t be seen, despite my primary being excepted! They could have explained this before making me wait this long only to not be seen when I could’ve went to another Physician. They are not as professional as they should be!

Horrible experience! She was so rude to me! Didn’t want to explain anything or offer any help! Gave me a speech about how the mask I’m wearing wasn’t helping any viruses and how she don’t wear them then said basically lose weight when I asked some option to help what kind of diet etc she shrugged her shoulders didn’t give any details and walked away. She didn’t have a bit of care and was so rushed! She said my previous miscarriage was probably because of my age 34 and my weight (size 18 yes I want to lose weight) and that’s about it she was hateful.

I loved Dr. Smith. I had a complete hysterectomy in June and had no problems with recovery. I know she is very busy but I felt she explained everything well. She was highly recommended by several people and everyone, including hospital staff, was very complimentary of her. Considering the amount of patients she sees daily I was very impressed with her efficiency. I didn't feel rushed.

Initially,I was very satisfied with Dr.Smith. During my first visit she thoroughly explained how things would go for the remainder of my pregnancy. However, subsequent visits became more and more rushed.Sometimes by the time I thought of a question she had already breezed out the door. Then in my 37th week my son would not move for his BBP. He had scored fine the previous week and the only problem this week was lack of movement (heart rate, breathing, etc. Was fine). She chose to take him by C. rather than do any further monitoring. (To my knowledge fetal monitoring is normally the next step in such situations).I don't think she even explained what she thoughtmight be wrong with him. Then, she was in such a rush I didn't think my husband would make it in time. My son was born healthy and in no distress. I think she made a premature decision when deciding to give me a Csection. Actually, I think my C was more of a convenience for her rather than a health risk for my child.

I had the absolute WORST birth experience I could possibly imagine with Dr. Smith! I worked so hard for a natural childbirth, and had talked with my regular ob/gyn (Dr. Toler) about all my birth preferences. But, he was out of town when I went into labor and I got stuck with Dr. Smith. She is NOT natural childbirth friendly. She would not let me even get out of the bed to walk around and ease labor pains. I wound up getting an "emergency" c-section, although I'm not sure where the emergency was. There was no fetal distress. Oh and here's the best part...the spinal didn't work! And instead of taking the time to re-do the spinal, they put me to sleep (despite my objections) and I missed my daughter's birth. On the other hand, I have heard that she is a skilled surgeon and if you want a medicated birth, she might not be so bad. But in my experience, her bedside manner is seriously lacking! I'll never have another baby in that hospital either.

I was very disappointed in the care I was given. I had a problem during my second pregnancy with anxiety which was not of my choosing. I was "released" from care of the doctor at 18 weeks because she did not "have time" for me.
