We were in to the doctor in 2015 and tubes and adenoid removal was recommended. The fluid ending up draining so we didn't have surgery. In 2016 we had the same problem repeat and Soumekh would not remove adenoids in conjunction with the tubes. He was dismissive and his manners in the visit were lacking. We are seeing a different ENT for a second opinion. My time and money I was spending to see him was not well spent. However, Soumekh did tell me that he would make less money if he didn't remove the adenoids.

Initially we had no issues other than him extending our daughter's 3 month stay in the hospital by a day because he wanted to do a bronch on her which only confirmed what we already knew was going on. Unfortunately our relationship has since deteriorated dramatically because he is now causing a hold-up on what will be her last surgery, which we want moved up due to the condition of the issue. When we last saw him, he said we didn't want to upset her progress by doing another bronch since she seems to doing fine, and since with what she has can not be resolved medically, she just has to grow out of it. He didn't even know that he had scheduled a bronch to be done with her other surgery until I brought it up, which makes me then think that it isn't essential to get done. Now with trying to move her surgery up (to relieve her pain), he can't do it earlier and so we have to wait longer because he refuses to cancel it and was extremely sarcastic with me. We will not return after this.

I don't know if this is the same disgruntled person posting over and over on here, but I just don't agree with their opinions. I found Dr. Soumekh to be nothing but a professional! He was gentle and sweet with my 2 yr old daughter during our appointments. He took the time to explain my daughter's condition and calmed my nerves and fears with factual data and compassion. He came highly recommended and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my daughter's surgery.

I'm surprised to see people speak negatively about him. We've been using him for 5 years and he's always been awesome with our son, during many medical issues and always treated us with respect. I highly recommend him.

Dr Soumekh came highly recomended by not only my physician, but by other mothers who's children had to have tubes in their ears. He is obiously knowledgible in his field, and very burnt out. He is rude and unkind to children, and parents. I guess if your mechanic was the best at what he did with your car, but he was a complete jerk and you hated seeing him, would you still go to him? That is what we wrestled with, but have since the surgery moved on....

Dr. Soumekh's office is professional. However if you run into a problem, good luck, the office and Dr. do not return phone calls. He is recommended by other doctors, but has a poor beside manner and/or customer relationship.

Although he is clearly knowledgeable about his field, he is rude and seems irritated with his job!!! He has done several surgeries on my daughter and each time we do a followup he spends less then 5 minutes with her, remembers no history, or refers us to another specialist to answer our questions. Also he refused to do an in office procedure with a scope down my baby's throat because my husband was not with and he said it would be too much for me to handle. "Bring the big guy with you next time and we will do it!" Im sorry but considering what we have been through with my daughter I realize that while these procedures are not fun they are necessary and I dont need someone to hold my hand through it. See one of his partners instead!!!

Our family felt welcome and very informed after meeting Dr. Soumekh. We have been completely happy with him after two surgeries. He always shows complete compassion and genuine concern. Dr. Soumekh is a pleasure to deal with.

We saw Dr. Soumekh to get a 2nd opinion about getting my daughter's adenoids removed. He seemed to be knowledgable in his field however he was very condescending and arrogant. We felt that he did not listen to our concerns specific to our daughter and minimized her medical history. We did not see. I definitely would NOT recommend him.

Dr. Soumekh's job is to work with children and he seems to be repulsed by them. I have only one child right now, a one year-old, who required surgery. Yes, being a first time mom I was worried about my one year old needing surgery and he seemed very cold and almost rude about my concerns. We did have him do the surgery and it went very well, but I really didn't appreciate his lack of respect for me or my child. Will not go to him in the future.
