Biography
Dr. Ted C. Lai is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon treating all aspects of the foot and ankle. He specializes in trauma and fractures of the lower extremity, adult and pediatric reconstructive surgery, ligament and tendon repair, arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures, diabetic limb reconstruction, and neurologic conditions of the foot and ankle. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry-Biology from West Chester University and then went on to earn his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 2013. He was inducted into the SHD and Pi Delta Honor Societies and graduated in the top of his class. Following completion of medical school, he completed his surgical training at Aria-Jefferson Health Systems in Philadelphia, PA. He obtained extensive training in reconstruction and trauma of the lower extremity at the Aria-3B Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. Ted C. Lai then went on to complete his foot and ankle surgical fellowship under The Orthopedic Group of Pittsburgh, PA. His fellowship training focused on advanced techniques as well as treatment of highly complex deformities of the foot and ankle. Dr. Lai is also actively involved in research in the field of foot and ankle surgery. He has written chapters in foot and ankle surgical textbooks, presented research at national meetings and is published in professional journals. He enjoys teaching and lecturing at all levels. Dr. Ted C. Lai is board qualified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
