Prior to starting my Radiation Treatment Plan at the DGMC, Radiation - Oncology Clinic, I was diagnosed with High-Risk Prostate Cancer at the VA Mather Medical Center Urology Clinic. Almost immediately, I was scheduled to be seen at Dr. Creswell’s office, DGMC. During my first office visit in August 2022, I must admit the thought of facing another cancer issue was weighing heavy on my shoulders. However, the strong-genuine concern for my well-being shown by Dr. Gresswell started to prepare me for the next 10 weeks of Radiation Treatment and beyond. I was reading a lot in preparation for what was to come but that all seemed secondary to the unshakeable approach to my individual cancer treatment plan. A compassionate medical practitioner Dr. Gresswell is highly skilled in Radiation/Oncology, one that listens consults, and guides his medical staff, and is truly the physician any cancer patient would want on his/her team. I only finished my radiation treatment for lung cancer two days ago so It's too early to report on results but I feel I can offer some helpful comments about Dr. Gresswell.
I found him to be extremely pleasant, personable, caring, knowledgeable, and thorough. Unlike some he has a sense of humor and isn't afraid to show it. He was generous with his time and never seemed rushed. He explained things in such detail that I had few questions he didn't anticipate. His demeanor exudes confidence and genuine concern, and I feel he actually enjoys his work. On my first visit he introduced me to his wonderful staff, gave me a tour of the facility, and made me feel welcome and hopeful about my situation.
Throughout my treatment I always felt only positive vibes from the doc and his crew. I never once doubted their competence and sincerity. They made all my visits upbeat and as easy on me as they could. In my opinion Doctor Gresswell and his staff go the extra mile to calm your anxiety, put you in tune with your treatment plan, and willingly do the little things that make you feel special. To me that's an all too rare a combination in todays medical world. I give them two thumbs way up across the board.

He made us feel like he cared about my husbands health issue. He also explained the type of cancer that my husband had in words that we could understand. My husband has since passed away but not from the Cancer that Dr Gresswell was giving him treatments for. I just want to say THANK YOU TO DR. GRESSWELL.

Dr Gresswell has been a truly inspiration for me. I never feel like its just treatment. I always feel like I have been incouraged and spirits lifted. Dr. Gresswell is a true professional in every respect! My first appointment with him was full of his cheerful and compassionate attention to my every concern. His demeanor was such that he put me at ease during this difficult time in my life. He explained in detail my options and allowed me to view his computer to specifically outline the areas of treatment. His superior knowledge for the proposed radiation sessions gave me the confidence to accept the risks involved and move forward! he is skilled and always clear and concise with each procedure. I am so grateful that Dr. Gresswell is the central healthcare provider for my father's cancer treatments. I am so relieved to have him leading the team of providers since my father has several different cancers. Our situation was daunting until Dr. Groundswell took the lead. Now we have a central point for follow through on all the other specialists so I am confident that all angles are covered. Dr. Greswell's professional conduct comforts the patient and family. He provides easily understood explanations as he shows you the comprehensive radiology imaging such as the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan and Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)s. Dr. Gresswell demonstrates competence in his field and honesty in the prognosis with treatments and their possible side effects, viability, and concerns. I know he truly cares because he took the leads care in coordinating with the other specialists seeing my father (dermatologist, orthopedic oncologist, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists) ensuring the most effective and least invasive treatments are provided. With Dr. Gresswell on our Health Care team ,I know that my father will receive the best care possible and that we are not alone in this fight against cancer. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Gresswell.
