Stay away from her. Rude, arrogant and has the professional temperament of a pissed off piranha. One visit was 9 seconds long in a hallway walk by and she refused to supply info for disability. I have more issues’ with her too long to describe here. So glad Hartford Hospital let go

We saw the doctor today, at least I think she was the doctor as she didn't introduce her self.she didn't really examine my friends knee that was very swollen and sent her for an X-ray, then said it didn't look any different than the last X-ray. Gave a prescription for an anti inflammatory but didn't write her name on it, told us to wrap the ace bandage on it and said to follow up with our regular doctor. We had to ask if there was water on the knee and she acted like we should've known that. No, I would not recommend this doctor. We saw her at an orthopedic walk in facility, I don't know if that matters...

Completely unprofessional. I wish I read the reviews before scheduling an appointment.

Dr Burke is amazing. I saw her for a herniated disc which caused a pinched nerve and five months of severe pain. I had seen my primary care, a chiropractor, a physical therapist and so on. No relief. She performed my surgery and I am very happy with the results. Her bedside manner is that of a professional and highly educated
Doctor. She took the time to alleviate my fears and concerns and explain everything to me and my wife. I would highly recommend her

Now I know why her waiting room was empty. I had the exact same experience as the comment written previous to mine. Dr. Burke was entirely dismissive about the pain from my injury nor willing to find out what was causing it. I found her to be very unprofessional, rude, argumentative and abrupt with me, challenging every word I said. Her assistant Julie however, was always professional and very helpful, Dr. Burke should take some lessons in how to treat people from her. I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time with her, I would definitely not recommend this "doctor" to anyone.

Dr. Burke was entirely dismissive about my neck pain and a recent complication. In my view, if there is no surgery involved, then this is not the medical professional that will be interested. I did not feel encouraged in any way to explain my condition nor my worsening pain. I will continue with my PT until I have to have it renewed. It is discouraging to encounter this in our health field. I will seek assistance and guidance elsewhere.

Dr. Burke performed my back operation April 2014. When I first meet with Dr. Burke, I felt that she did not have a good bedside manner. During one of our visits I shared my concerns that I needed her to provide me with more information regarding my injury. Our next visit was a new beginning to a great Dr./patient relationship. She took the time to explain my injury and the process of the surgery. Her assistant is always polite, professional and follows up with timely manner. Prior to my surgery Dr. Burke relieved all of my concerns and fears of the surgery by ensuring that we fully understood the entire process and answered all of our questions. My advice to people who feel they are starting out on the wrong foot with their doctors, speak up! Be your own advocate by telling your doctor what you need to feel comfortable. I am thrilled that Dr. Burke was my surgeon... She and her staff has been a pleasure to work with... Thank you. KE

I have suffered from severe neck pain for many years.I was recommended to Dr. Burke minutes into the visit I knew that this was going to be a waste of my time, effort and co-pay. I am fully aware that Dr.'s are human and have good days and bad however her tone was demeaning and dismissive. She did not "listen" to my distress and simply preformed her routine exam and told me I do not need surgery. When I seemed confused about the surgery part her answer was "Ugh yes surgery- that's what I do- I'm a surgeon". She then went on with a confusing list of symptoms that she saw in complete medical terms with NO effort to reduce them down for the avg. person. In the end she recommended me to yet another Dr. Advised I continue on the RX that I clearly expressed made me very loopy- her answer was I am on a "baby" dosage almost questioning why I'm complaining. Then she suggested for more PT which I again clearly explained was horribly painful. The entire visit made me feel hopeless about my pain.
