I choose Dr McCready because he is using the latest technology as MAKO robot for assisted hip replacements. This technology allows a lot better measurements, planning and execution and it is based of CT scan of the leg. He has solid record of 50+ hip replacement. I’ve got my operation 3 months ago. So what I found is that the prothesis is not position right – the knee cap of operated leg is pointing outwards. The whole ankle-knee-hip alignment is wrong, so I am still limping. I am still not able to put my socks on the operated leg. I pointed all the above to the doctor and he insisted that this is successful operation and the rest will be fixed by physiotherapist. Despite my everyday exercises and walking there is no progress. On top of this when I was in the hospital, he was quite ignorant of my complaints about my bladder and inability to vee. So, I suffered additionally for 2 months and spend a lot of money visiting urologists. Both urologists said everything was possible to be avoided if the catheter was installed on time instead of discharging me on the next day. At the end of the day I was with catheter for two months. So be careful and choose wisely. This is your body and there is no return back.

Wow. What a professional but pleasant person. He radiates calmness. He takes time / makes time to listen to me. This was a very pleasant experience, in spite of the pain.

Outstanding experience with a total hip replacement. Dr. McReady took time to answer all my questions thoroughly. The operation was so well done that I was able to leave hospital the same day - in at 06:00, out at 17:00. The technology used is top class, and Dr. McReady's skill ensured a perfect fit of the new hip, with minimal pain or discomfort. I was back behind the wheel, and back at work, 10 days after the operation, and walking almost unaided after 4 weeks. Highly recommended.

Very happy with Hip Replacement, just a bit disappointed to have some sort of nerve damage to foot, causing discomfort and swelling, which hopefully will improve with time.

From my first visit to the follow up after surgery I was totally impressed. Dr Mc Cready may be quiet and almost shy, but he knows what he's doing and definitely sorted my knee out. Dealing with him and Irene has been a pleasure and I will always recommend him.
