I have been seeing Dr. Burns since 2010, and let me tell you, he gave me my life back!! I started to get sick when I was 25, I am 32 now and I feel like a teenager again. He has his quirks, but when you get to know him, he deeply cares about your well being. Yes you have longer wait times, but he knows his stuff and all the women that run the front office are awesome! I am so glad I found Dr. Burns!

DR. BURNS IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. YES IT MIGHT BE A LONG WAIT TO SEE HIM, BUT HE TAKES HIS TIME WITH ME ANSWERS ALL MY QUESTIONS, AND DOES FOR ME MORE THAN MY GENERAL DOCTOR. AND THE STAFF IS THE BEST, I SEE 5 OTHER DOCTORS AND NONE HAVE THE STAFF DR BURNS HAS, THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY SWEET AND DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO. I HAVE SEEN DR.BURNS NOW FOR 25 YEARS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO SEE HIM BECAUSE I TRUST HIM.

Dr. Burns spends the time necessary with the patient on each and every visit. I never feel he is rushing me out of the office to handle the next patient like most doctors do. It may take several visits to get a proper diagnosis unlike many doctors that give you a diagnosis on the first or second visit but it is incorrect. I saw 10 doctors over many years before I found Dr. Burns a received a correct diagnosis. I am feeling so much better. I had pretty much given up any hope of ever getting better until I found Dr. Burns. If want a thorough doctor that will spend time with you and find out the root cause of your medical issues this is the guy. You will get quality care with Dr. Burns and his excellent staff. Big thumbs up!! D. Lively

The office staff is atrociously inept. If you like the following things, this office is NOT for you: 1) your tests ordered and sent accurately to the imaging facility, a call back after you specifically asked for one, office to be open (or even the phone answered) past NOON 1/2 of the days and 4 pm the other days, respectful and competent staff, your appointment scheduled correctly (not written down wrong for a different day) or receipt and confirmation of your test results. In fact, after 1 month, 3 visits, 4 phone calls, and 3 phone calls from the imaging center to the office - I have yet to get in to meet with Dr. Burns to get the 3 test results he ordered and which I paid hundreds of dollars for. The incompetence and disrespectful office staff was too much to bear, and I will be looking for a different doctor.

I started going to Dr. Burns in desperate shape. I could no longer easily get up and down our of a chair or do stairs...I was not sleeping more than 90 minutes a night due to pain issues. Dr. Burns figured out what was wrong, changed my meds a few times and now I am pain free. PAIN FREE! Hooray and Hallelujah! Last weekend I was chasing my 11 month old grandbaby up and down stairs. You better believe I thought of Dr. Burns! I also love his staff, kind and gentle women. His phlebotomist is the BEST! I have bad veins and she gets blood in ONE try. I've had doctors try up to 18 times to get it. She's wonderful! If you are looking for schmooze, look elsewhere. If you are looking for someone who is a great detective and will figure out what is wrong with you, Dr. Burns is YOUR MAN! My family and I will be grateful forever!!

I went in with no information on this dr. He was just in my insurance book.He did spend enough time with me as a first time patient,so that wasn't the problem.I don't hate him,so please no skepticism on my honest answer. I was given an incorrect timeline on a wrong diagnosis.I saw him once and then I went to a different dr.to be treated because I needed someone less expensive. The next dr. just laughed and said that I didn't have what I was diagnosed with and that I just needed some advil for awhile.I was so mad that I had spent 2 weeks literally crying over a disturbing future that I was told I'd have rather quickly. There are a lots of dr's for you to choose from so please get a second opinion, just to be sure, even if you really like this guy. It's important to guard your health enough to get that second opinion for something so serious and long term, even if you do like him.

Dr. Burns has helped me with problems beyond rheumatic diseases. He is very smart and interested in helping the patient. If he diagnoses a problem that is not in his area of expertise, he will refer you to someone or tell you which type of specialist you need to see. He does much more than my Family Physician helping me with various problems.

I went in twice and he had lots of blood work done two times. He never gave me a diagnosis, just wants me to keep coming back. He spends a good amount of time with you but has had many sanctions for improper level of care. He gave up his California medical license.

The reason he has you come back often is to check the affects of medications on your body as well as your progress. Isn't that better than a doctor that does not follow up on these things? You can always decide if that is too soon for you. He will listen to that and work with you. The tests he ordered saved one of my friend's life. He is thorough. Again, isn't that what you want in a doctor? His appointments do often run late, but he gives his patients the time they need to ask questions. You learn to appreciate that when it's your turn. His knowledge base is vast. Check out what he tells you - you'll find he knows what he is talking about.
