Disregards my concerns, and told me a diagnosis "wasn't worth it" because "[she] diagnosed another patient with that disorder and the 'only treatment' is physical therapy". Dr. Apiado then sent me to a PT that does not accept my insurance.

She’s ok her staff not so much. I think Jasmin Manzo who’s Energy Assistance lady at New Opportunities and screwed by gf over when she applied and sent all required documents needed. Jasmin inturn after the deadline tells my gf “ oh I needed more info
re: your rent. She tells her this after the deadline and my gf called N.O. left messages for Jasmin to call and she never did. Only for another staff member to tell my gf “ oh sorry it’s after the deadline we can’t do nothing for you “ Jasmin should be fired I also know another person who applied and Jasmin failed to get their app submitted on time. I also heard Jasmin speaks ill of her employer and coworkers. Think New Opportunities needs to get Emma Williams back or hire a more efficient person to handle Energy assistance as many people need help. I could just imagine how many other applicants got screwed over.

This practice is the exemplary of what is wrong with some practices these days.

I went in for an appointment, the scheduled testing at the nearby hospital, but they never scheduled it.

When I called back to get them to follow up with the order, they told me the doctor had suddenly left the practice and i would need to pay and go though the same visit with a different doc, to reschedule. They had records that showed it was their mistake, but still were no help in righting the problem.

AVOID!

I amlost died when I saw this on here. I stated seeing Dr. Apiado years ago, and always adored her. She had an amazing women working behind the desk, who was always so caring and kind. The two of them worked great togather. Then I noticed she had a new women behind the desk and it was her mother. She was beyond rude at my first visit, but I wrote it off. As I continued seeing the doctor things only got worst. I was never able to get the doctor to call me back, none of my persciptions would be filled, and forget speaking to the mother on the phone. She lacks all common courtesy, and is beyond disrespectful. After waiting almost 10 days for a scipt to get called in I never went back. Its really sad, because she is an amzing doctor. It used to take days to get in and her office was always full. Last time I went it was empty. She deserves better, family or not.

DON'T BELIEVE ALL THESE OTHER COMMENTS After years of going to Docs who never listened to me & my symptoms, Apiado listened, understood, and provided real solutions to my complex medical problems. She remembers me and my symptoms from visit to visit & from year to year. She puts things together that I didn't even connect & welcomes my input and research, unlike other Docs who get mad when you say "I read on the internet" She would welcome any research I had done & would read materials I'd provide. She welcomes & is willing to discuss many forms of treatment options including nutrition & herbal options. She doesn't just sneer at the patient's involvement in their own health, like most Docs who seem to be saying, "oh just shut up, hurry up & do what I say or don't, I've got 100 more patients to see today" She cares, encourages me to work towards my own health goals. If you work w/ Dr. Apiado, it's a partnership, not a disinterested dictatorship. My whole family loves her!

Very unprofessional, rude, hateful, uncaring. Does not return phone calls. If you need a referral from her to see a specialist...good luck.

Office Manager is very rude, short and tries very hard to keep patients from speaking with the Doctor regarding medical concerns. The Dr. seems nice but the front desk person or office manager needs to learn customer service skills and not be so rude. We will no longer be going to Dr. Apiado because of the treatment over the last year from the Office Staff and or Office Manager. It's unfortunite that Dr. Apiado will eventually have a BAD reputation because of her Staff.

I wish I found this site before going in. I agree with what has been stated. I live near this practice and am a male. Big mistake. I thought maybe it is because I am a male her attitude was sour but after reading these reviews I now "get it". Sorry I've gone to Hartford Med down the street. Much more respectful and helpful.
