I had to change doctors because of insurance reasons and I was told that this was a good doctor! The person I spoke with must have been paid to say that! This is the worst doctor I've ever seen and his staff is well below that! You want to sit on hold for 30min at a time and then they pass you off to people until you get a person who still doesn't know anything to help you. They want you to treat them like you are a idiot and they are way smarter about your problems and what you need! And don't call when he is gone for weeks at a time because they will tell that you really don't need a refill till he gets back it's OK to do without your medication! I Really wish I had Never made the Mistake of going to this office or Doctor!

Beware! I would think twice before letting this Internist care for you. Dr Roman likes to keep everything (diagnostic tests, etc) in house so he could could collect the payment. But beware of this, especially if you are not knowledgable in the medical field. Dr Roman thinks he could treat any medical condition including specialties. You would have to have to request to see a specialist if you know to. First of all, Dr Roman would have you keep coming back every few weeks for a "Wellness" check. The staff would tell you, "There is no cost. Your insurance will pay for it." Dr Roman loves you when you are on Tricare for life, Medicare or Medicaid. We'll this type of behavior has gotten him into trouble before with the government. Why do think it's so much trouble to get records from this office? Again as a medical professional, I caution you to trust this so call "doctor". Ask any honest medical professional in Columbus Georgia would agree. My family members are safe now with competent medical doctors at other facilities.

This place is awful, I wish I never made the first appt, this office can't keep any doctors and there is always new workers, I tried getting medical records it has taken almost a month to get them... I had an appt to see Dr. Roman and found the day I had the appt that he was out of the office so I had to see someone that had know clue what he was doing.... I'm highly pissed, I would not refer anyone to this office. I will be finding myself a new doctor ASAP

I thought he was wonderful for about a year. Then, everything changed. Roman loves to order unnecessary tests to generate more money. (A sleep study at 23 with no indications that I needed one? An MRI for a pulled chest muscle?? The list goes on.) On four separate occasions, I got a phone call 2-4 days before my appointment to inform me that he wouldn't be in the office on the dates my appointments were scheduled and that I would have to wait 6 more weeks to see him. I could, however, come in as a walk-in and see a PA. But the PA would not be able to give me all of the RXs I need. After he broke my scheduled appointments, I called and requested refills (that I would have had--had he decided to work that day) and his staff demanded that I see him before getting the RXs.... His staff had the highest turn-over of any office I have ever seen! And the vast majority are dumb as a box of rocks and completely incompassionate. If you email him at his direct email, don't expect it to be confidential because he will not see it. Someone else reads it. He DOES know his stuff. He is very knowledgeable. However, It is clear that he is more concerned with $$$ than anyone's health. And his staff is--for the most part--useless, rude, and unconcerned. He prescribed me a medicine years ago typically used to treat diabetic patients. I am not diabetic, though. I take it for something totally different. Well, he asked me on 3 occasions if I was managing my blood sugar well because he forgot why I was on it. And he is NOTORIOUS for printing out prescriptions and either omitting one or writing it out for the wrong amount or dosage. And again, no chance of his staff correcting it unless you pay for another office visit and see him again as a follow-up. If you have any sort of condition that you are concerned about, find someone else. And if you have a parent or grandparent who needs medical attention, definitely find someone else. He will see them though. He is one of the few doctors out there accepting new Medicare/Medicaid patients. He'll do anything for that dollar! Well, almost anything. He will not visit you at the hospital or Hospice Care. He sends a minion to do that for him.
