Dr Albekaa removed my huge tonsils! As an 18 year old living away from home and my parents not being able to make it for the surgery, he made me feel so reassured and safe. The aftercare by Jess the receptionist was amazing, she called me almost everyday after the surgery to make sure I was ok and to give me advice on how to deal with the pain. Now, 6 days after surgery, I am so thankful to Dr Albekaa and his staff. Thank your changing my life!

I would highly recommend Dt Albekaa I had a large polyp blocking my sinus above my eye causing severe visions problems, Dr Albekaa saw me promptly and performed surgery I had polyps and a severely deviated septum, I had no pain after surgery and I can breathe through my nose better than every before in my life I am 73, His manner is caring and he is very skilled, Thank You Doctor Albekkaa.

Dr Albekaa was excllent. I had some trouble breathing well through my nose. He diagnosed the issue, operated, gap fee was negligible and after care great. Now 9 years later still going strong. The improved breathing was amazing and able to train hard again with full oxygenation compared to before.

Dr Albekaa incorrectly inserted a grommet in my 1 yr old then tried to cover it up by telling us that we should not visit GPS to treat what was clearly an infection (he claimed it wasn’t) and gave us antibiotics for 6mths and told us to rebook an appointment then. We became aware of the problem almost immediately after he did the surgery and took our child back within 2 weeks for a re-evaluation. He was very defensive and charged us $150 for that appointment for barely 5 min. We had to negotiate very hard to get the appointment, which we thought was rather odd given it should have been part of his post-surgery practice where there was a problem. Our child was screaming in pain and pus was pouring out of his ear when we had the appointment. Dr Albekaa insisted it was just clear mucus and the grommet was “doing its job”. We took a second opinion that confirmed that the grommet was not in the right place and was ineffective. Further, the test results confirmed that it was an infection. We are Deeply disappointed at the sub-standard level of care. We horrified with what potentially could have lead to long term problems in our small child if we had been fooled by the cover up. We take what was done extremely seriously. We do not recommend this doctor to anyone.

My life has changed! Tonsils removed; deviated septum fixed! Over 55, I was told it would be painful and it was - but soooo worth it. People think I look 10 years younger; I’m sleeping better; no more brain fog; and two people think I’ve actually had a face lift. More oxygen and breathing properly for the first time in 30 years! A million thank yous Dr Albekaa ! Staff are brilliant and Dr Albekaa’s triage method means you are seen quickly for a diagnosis, booked in, and breathing better in a matter of 5 weeks.

I had sinus surgery with Dr Albekaa in Aug 2019 and was really impressed with the high standard of the work he did. I'm sure my quick recovery and good outcomes were due to his expertise. Surgery day at John James was great, I didn't have to wait around and always knew what was going on. He is sometimes running late for his medical office appointments, but he is an in demand doctor and takes care with his patients, so not unexpected. Jess (his receptionist) is super organised and really knows her stuff.
