I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Yamada and I cannot say enough about how much of a pleasure and how lucky we are to have a doctor that genuinely listens, cares, and is upfront about all the information, good and bad, about therapies and medications. I am very impressed by his caring nature, concerns, and looking out for the well-being of his patients. He makes them feel comfortable, and when you leave you feel like you are prepared.

Worst doctor ever been trying to help my son for two years cuts him off without telling me and asked to put in a referral with 3 specific things in it and he sent one in without any of the information I asked him to send in …. He wouldn’t even assess my son himself for adhd gave us one med and he had lots of side effects and wouldn’t prescribe him anything else he’s a horrible doctor and receptionist is the biggest bitch! Horrible experience is asking my family doctor for someone else I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyones kid how can you cut off a child who’s 5 with mental health problems that his parents are trying to figure out for him???? Worst doctor ever

Dr. Yamada is amazing. I love how he speaks to the kid as their own person and really listens to what the child has to say. We are never rushed, yet he always take the time he needs to make sure the child feels heard and understands what is going on.

Dr Yamada saved our family, my son has Autism along with ADHD. We had a feeling he had ADHD I got the run around from so many paediatricians at the IWK that I lost all hope, I was at the end of my leash, my best friend found him and got us all set up. He is was my saving grace, he is a very smart man, he just understood me, my son, he never once went back on his word, he doesn't speak to you like you dont understand, he never makes you feel stupid, he is amazing with kids, he is an over all an amazing human. There are never words to express how thankful we have this man in our lives, how grateful and appreciative for the time he spends with us and cares for my boy. I hope one day he reads this one day, if you do thank you.

Such a great Dr. Very caring and compassionate. I took my 5 month old for an exam due to lack of weight gain. During the exam she had a fever. He quickly referred us for more tests and came back to check on her later in the day. We found him to be wonderful and reassuring. Highly recommend Dr. Yamada

Excellent Doctor . So cautious about medication . Chosed his words well to speak to my daughter . He made her feel like her opinion counts and that he is her Dr. not the parents . Felt relieved and fortunte to have him as a physician . Thank-you Dr. Yamanda ,
