I've had this Dr for a few years now. He has been quick to help with issues and refers for tests and specialists quickly. His personality is dry which may be perceived as non caring but I don't feel that is the case. he is very punctual and has served my needs.

I also agree with others about this so called (doctor?). I have been to see him several times and was wrongly diagnosed. He does not care about his patients health. Save yourself time and pain and go to the walk in clinic to see another doctor.

My mother had gone to see him a number of times prior to her fatal stroke, and he kept telling her it was stress. Even I, a badly aware layperson, knew the symptoms were classic of a stroke when I came to hear them. I had an ambulance called immediatley but it was too late she slipped into a coma and passed away 2 days later. It was unlikely that she could have survived the coming fatal strokes that took her, but the incompetence of these 2 weeks prior are unforgivable and I would tell people to avoid putting your loved ones health into this unskilled person's hands. His staff are excellent and I feel for them the needing work and having it be for him - I did not have much staff interaction, but what I did have was superb, it's the 'supposed' health practitioner I'd question. It is a sad fact that there are no available Drs in Woodstock and so people are stuck with the likes of a Dr like Miettinen Take note of this sad story - if you feel something is wrong and Miettinen tells you to take 2 aspirin, get a second option at the walkin... best of luck

He has been our family's MD for many years (due to lack of alternatives) and while has gotten better, he is significantly less effective than many others. He has a tendency to question every ailment and gives perception that any referral to a specialist or diagnostic test would be a waste of government money. His refusal to do so cost a member of my family a 1 year delayed cancer diagnosis. Thankfully, it took one specialist appointment to discover the tumor. All worked out at the end. He is not well perceived by the medical community and source of jokes by his peers - overall very poor reputation.

This man was my Mom's dr. Mom had a very severe sinus and ear infection. When she explained this to him that she was afraid that she was losing her hearing , his response was ' what do you expect , you are getting old' . Mom was 70 at the time and soon was deaf in both ears , but not because of her age. Another trip to see him , I went with Mom , Mom was afraid that she had suffered a strke so as she was explaining the chain of events he laughed at her and sais , so what , now you are dilireous.I couldn't believe that a doctor would say something like that . I took my Mom out of there and found her another doctor that was caring and concerned about her health and well being . How this man got a doctors liscense i will never understand .

he is very condensending. He doesn't listen and makes you feel very low. He never cares about your feelings and he never treats you as if your life is important. He isn't willing to refer you to another doctor if he doesn't know whats wrong. You have to insist on referrals.

I agree with many of the other comments. He makes you feel stupid and that you are wasting his time and that you are never there for anything important. But maybe that is a female patient thing. He does not agree with going to any clinic other than his own. Referrals are given quickly and he is very punctual - that's about the only good things I have to say about him. He never greets you with a "Hi how are you", he always just comes in and sits down and waits for you to start talking. I've tried to find another doctor, but due to shortages, I guess I'm stuck with him.

Anytime we have attended the office, he has been very good, with the kids, husbands diabeties, and myself. Referalls were always done right away, and his office staff is great
