I seen Dr. Simmons several times in office as well as in hospital. He was always helpful and I treated me very well. Thank you Dr. SD Simmons!

Thank God he finally retired!!!. This guy used to preform colonoscopies without sedation back in the 1990's. Imagine how extreemly painful that is for someone who suffers from severe colitis and Chron's ? He has the personality of a weasel and is a true coward by nature. Eventually he will require our Healthcare system and Healthcare workers to save his life, thats how it works, it's called getting older. He should hope that none of his former patients and coworkers ehom he treated poorly are at the helm when he needs their help the most. I believe he is devoutly evangelical, maybe he would be better off hoping and praying.

One of the best and honest doctors I have had. He had a great bedside manner and was very compassionate.

Garbage. Weird little guy with an annoying demeanor. Tries to raise his voice when you ask him questions. That might work around the nurses but that definitely doesn't work around me. He literally has no idea about treating chrons' . Maybe he's good at detecting liver disease. But absolute bush league when it comes to gastrointestinal problems. I don't think it will be long before this guy is pushed put of red deer and into retirement. I would never let anyone you love or cate about see this guy. He's trouble. Extremely arrogant. Inept communication skills. Not up to speed as far as medications or treatments. Now that red deer has a few more G.I.'s it's clear just how irrelevant Dr. Simmonds is and has always been. Quite sad actually. I just wonder how many terrible things he has said and done over the decades he's been allowed to practice. History won't be kind to Douglas. Nor should it be. Don't see this guy for nothing. This Dr. Should be working in a lab . Strange and awkward best describe his personality.

Useless. Good on paper but totally useless as a medical professional. For a long long time he was the only G.I. in central Alberta. What a disaster. He got away with being mediocre at best and a bully to those who had severe medical issues. . Wow things have changed. Too bad this terrible human being hasn't. He's really good friends with Dr. Syed amunnulah. Need I say more ? If your referred to him...... do yourself a favor. ..... get someone else. This guy should have retired years ago. Egomaniac and I've seen him bully the elderly and nurses.

total disastor as a human being. Even worse as a Dr. Should have retired 15 years ago. Old dinasaur methods.



Hasn't evolved. Better off going with no treatment rather than poor treatment.
