I've had two spinal surgeries with Dr. Munk.
I will never see another surgeon but him.
Experienced, knowledgeable, great bed side manor, listens to his patients and cares for each one.

Only met his assistant. He never bothered to enter the examination room. He won't touch me because I'm diabetic. Worst Dr. I've ever been to. Very rude way to treat a patient in pain.

Did not care whatsoever. I spent more time with the paperwork than the doctor. He clearly ignored my paperwork also because he asked me questions that were clearly on there. Got up in the middle of the 3 minute consult that I waited over an hour for and put his hand out while I was still speaking to signal our appointment was over! He kept throwing multiple ideas as to what my pain was from, one being fibromyalgia. I finally asked him what fibromyalgia was and he walked out of the room and blew me off completely by saying "ask your other doctor." UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. He also made a comment about Miss America contests whentrying to explain my pain. Really tasteless and showed me what kind person he was. Apparently if you're not "hot" he can't be bothered by you.

In Dec. 2014, I injured my back once again. I was introduced to Dr. Munk. I have never been so comfortable with a doctor before. I live in Indiana and will not get a doctor here because I am so comfortable with him. He sits with me explains everything so that I understand all of it. I still have check ups with him and when I'm ready I will ask him to do my surgery. I have 3 bulging disks, 1 is herniated which is degenerate, and I have arthritis in my discs. He is far most the best doctor I have ever had. I would recommend anyone to him.

I've been dealing with chronic lumbar & c spine pain for almost 5 years due to a MVA in 2010. After seeing numerous physicians whom didn't really care to find a way to treat my chronic pain I was finally referred to Dr. Andres Munk in 2014! Once I seen Dr. Munk I felt completely comfortable with him, Dr. Munk has the BEST bed side manner for being a surgeon. He took the time to go over my whole medical history & was very compassionate with my situation and wanted to help me. The best solution (since I did not want major back surgery) was to implant a spinal cord stimulator. After the week long trial I was satisfied this was the best option for me. January 2015 Dr. Munk preformed the surgery. Dr. Munk treated my husband, daughter & I with respect and explained the procedure to my family, and assured me that I would be well taken care of. He was right I sure was, surgery went great and I was finally on my way to becoming pain free (at least it's a step!) I highly recommend Dr. Munk he's a wonderful doctor whom treats you with respect he's friendly, caring, compassionate I can go on & on! Thank you Dr. Munk

Dr. Munk is the most pompous doctor I have ever seen. He did not care to ask me about my symptoms, was so quick to give me a diagnosis and literally said that he was the specialist and not to shoot the messager. I have never been treated so poorly and so inconsiderately by a doctor. He was not sensitive to the fact that back surgery for a twenty year is scary, he was blunt and interrupted me and was rude. He gave me a treatment plan without even consulting me about what my opinion on the treatment plan was. I realize he is the doctor, but the patient has to be willing or believe in the treatment suggested. A doctor and a patient should make up the best solution, but that is not the case with Dr. Munk.
