I went to Dr. Nickles for the first time today. She is assertive and doesn't give a lot of eye contact as another patient mentioned. Being a shy person it did not bother me. So she is shy, so what. I found her to be very informative, knowledgeable, and gentle. She made me feel comfortable. The office is friendly, kind and clean. I would definitely go back. She was on time which was refreshing. thank you

I have been going to Dr. Nickels for years. She saved my life when I needed an emergency hysterectomy. She is wonderful, listens to you and is thorough. Always on time. I would never go to any other gyno and recommend her to everyone.

I did not find Dr. Nickles rude or loud. She was probably more assertive than anything. She was super on time, and she did not waste any time, which is something I appreciate. My routine prenatal visit took no more than 30 min and that is sufficient for uncomplicated preganancy, so I appreciated her cutting to the chase.

Dr. Nickles first diagnosed my during my first pregnancy with preeclampsia and toxemia and sent me immediately to Valley Hospital. She was calm, informative and was concerned but was very direct about why she was sending me. I later was put on bedrest and delivered emergency c section a week later. Several years later, she saw me in what we thought were the early stages of a miscarriage - again, she was calm, supportive, direct and informative. My husband and I believe that she in fact is somewhat socially awkward and I think that is why she gets some bad reviews. If you stop her and ask her questions, she absolutely will cover everything in detail with you but I could see how some people could misread her. In two situations of concern for me, I came to really like Dr. Nickles. She does not have a lot of pomp and circumstance and is not touchy feely as some might prefer, but I felt in very good care with her and she was always thoughtful and cautious during some sensitive times.

Horrible. I wish I would have read her reviews before I agreed to see her after finding out my doctor was on vacation. I left her office in tears. She was rude, inconsiderate, cold and so LOUD. She walked in with a holy then thou attitude barely making eye contact. I'm sure the whole office heard my private business because she was so loud. She told me horrific news about what "she thought" my symptons were...leaving no room for it to possibly be anything else. I was so scared and full of aniexty and asking her questions and instead of comforting me by answering my questions she tells me "listen don't shoot the messager". I left so upset only to find out later she was completely wrong when my blood work came back negative. I've never felt so violated in my life. If there is a chance that my doctor won't be there for the birth of my second child and there is the slightest chance of Dr.Nickles delivering my child...I will leave this practice all together.

I would stay away from this doctor and her practice at all costs! I am a borderline high risk patient and they were treating me with no trouble. Out of the blue I get a phone call that they don't feel that they can take care of me anymore and now I'm at 14 weeks in the process of finding a new OBGYN to care for me! Dr. Nickles is always in a hurry, to busy to answer questions and I seriously doubt her skills in taking care of anyone that is outside the box during there pregnancy!

A terrible doctor. Aside from the fact she did not diagnose the HELLP syndrome I had developed she was rude and inconsiderate. I went to see her a few days after my due date with pain and discomfort. I told her I was having terrible pain in the upper right portion of my stomach she snidely replied that that was the pressure of the babies bottom. Turns out it was my swollen liver. When I finally went to the hospital I had a platelet count of 25,000 which is classified as severe. Thankfully I planned for a natural unmedicated birth becuase that would have been my only choice due to my chances of bleeding out. Dr.Nickles did not deliver my baby but she was there the following day and not only did not appologize but didn't even communicate to me that I was still sick and explain my condition. I was in the hospital for 5 days and thankfully have recovered. Please find a more caring and competent doctor!

I called Dr. Nickles' service at 1:50 a.m. and reported my call as an emergency. I was 8 months pregnant and hemorrhaging. Dr. Nickles called me back immediately, listened to my explanation and quickly assessed that I should meet her at the hospital and asked if we could drive quicker than the ambulance could get there and back. When we pulled up to the emergency room door, a nurse was waiting for me with a wheel chair. They quickly rushed me into surgery where a team was waiting for me. Dr. Nickles came in and saw on the sonogram that the umbilical chord was wrapped around my son's neck twice and I had abrupted. Because she knew me as a patient and carefully listened to me describe my situation over the phone, her quick assessment and orders to the hospital saved both my son's life and mine. We both owe her our eternal gratitude.
