Dr. Gunderson is passionate about medical oncology and the treatment of all forms of cancer, with a special interest in breast cancer. She partners with her patients to determine the best treatment options for their cancer. Dr. Gunderson believes in providing compassionate care, and treats her patients as she would want a loved one to be treated.

Dr. Gunderson is sometimes rude. She failed to prescribe an airbed to help prevent bed sores. She failed to notice the previous doctor hadn't prescribed enough calories in the patient's new food tube diet. Once she forcefully pulled the patient's pants down to look for a bed sore; she even turned him on his side in his wheelchair. She failed to report a serious health finding to the family of this patient (who has dimentia) when it was discovered in the hospital. The family does not trust her and would not recommend her to anyone.
