I certainly wouldn’t recommend Dr Parekh if you are a female diabetic.
This dr made inappropriate and ignorant comments about diabetes, weight and made un solicited recommendations regarding my diabetes medications. He suggested going vegan would reverse diabetes?
He may be knowledgeable about eye health, but certainly doesn’t hold back his distain or disgust when dealing with diabetic patients.
Yikes yikes yikes.

Dr. Parekh has been my optometrist for many years. He demonstrates that he is deeply experienced and professional in his practice, as well as having considerable empathy for his patients.

Grateful that I found Dr Parekh. His calm, gentle demeanor makes the visit a positive experience. I have seen him 3 times over the last two years and he is consistent. No rush, all questions answered. The person sitting in the chair before him takes precedence.

Both my husband and I see Dr. Parekh, he is very thorough, spending as much time as needed to address my concerns. He saved my husbands sight in his left by diagnosing his detached retina and sending us immediately to a specialist. You will not be disappointed with his high level of knowledge.

I recently saw Dr. Parekh through the recommendation of a friend and I was beyond impressed with his demeanour. Not only was he kind and caring, but he gave me a full 40 minute eye exam that no Dr has given to me and he was so thorough. I have previously seen optometrists that have given me 15 minute eye tests and I have not been satisfied but Dr. Parekh does his job very well. Thank you

Dr Parekh is one of the most knowledgeable Optometrists that I have seen. Previously, I saw another eye doctor in Kelowna and I was very appalled. My prescription was wrong and I was given a wrong diagnosis but Dr. Parekh took the time to check my eyes and explain everything to me. I will definitely recommend him to anybody.
