Though Dr. Burke seems really nice I have an issue with the practice as a whole and her OB Nurse Joy. The staff is not friendly, My average wait was between 30 minutes and an hour though a few appts. were on time. This is a baby factory type of office. You do not see your doctor very often at all. In fact, I am 19 weeks pregnant (and started going there at 6 weeks) and have only met Dr. Burke once, always seeing her nurse who I find to be rude and overbearing. I have decided to switch to a practice where you actually see your doctor everytime unless they are delivering a baby. It was a difficult decision to make to change drs. this far along and had hoped for weeks that it would just get better and it hasn't. They also are fairly disorganized in setting up appointments. I had to call numerous times to remind them that I needed an ultrasound appt. and they said they would call and the time came and went numerous times. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Burke IS bery nice, however, her staff could use some major improvement. The receptionist determines whether or not you have a bonafide emergency and they are quite rude at times. My average wait time over the last several years was 21/2 hours! Again, Dr. Burke is very nice but she seems to care more for her obstetric patients than the rest.

I was very apprehensive about pelvic exam, due to being raped as teen. The doctor I used to see had moved and I didn't know her. The nurse told her how upset I was, but she was very nice and didn't make me feel stupid because I was so upset. She distracted me while talking and also used smallest equipment possible. She was kind and had great bedside manner. Thumbs up for this doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Burke for a year now and am quite pleased with her work. She is very manerable and polite and takes time to answer all concerns. She also takes time to explain. It is obvious that she is experienced... she gets straight to the point and quickly identifies the problem. i look forward to her delivering my baby next april.

This is a very personable physician. Although she usually runs late (because she is back and forth to the hospital, trying to deliver the babies of the moms she has followed for 9 months), she never made me feel rushed once she got in the exam room. I have recommended her to a number of my own patients (as I am a health provider myself). During my labor, she even hung out in my room to help kill the time, chatting with my family. Considering how difficult the lifestyle of an married OB/Gyn with 3 children can be, I give her an A++++ for the hard work and heart she puts into her patient care, even at 9PM at night in the hospital she's working a full day. In the 8+ office visits I have had with her, I have never found her to be less than knowledgeable or competent in the practice of medicine (so I was surprised to see the previous commenter's remarks to be so disparaging.)

Does not appear to know what she is doing. Has made some very questionable judgement calls during treatment of patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Burke for three and a half years. She has always made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and she is very personable. I have never felt rushed when talking with her (as I have with some other doctors) and I feel like she really listens to me about any concerns I have. I really like her and have recommended her to several people, including my Mother. I can?t say I like going to the Gynecologist, but I can say I no longer dread it with Dr. Burke as my physician.

Very unhelpful staff and very stressed out Dr who seems to know some but because is so preoccupied with other patients and problems is unable to listen or connect with her patients. Shame because at some level I imagine she is a wonderful person who is in the wrong place.
