I went in for annual skin check. She did not do a full body check...I had to ask for it. I had a few small brown spots and she used liquid nitrogen. I was asked to pay prior to leaving...I have insurance. I was shocked when I got my EOB...outrageous charges and I overpaid my portion. It was a nightmare getting thru to the billing dept.
It is obvious...this is not a medical dermatology practice...it is cosmetic/money driven

This is only deratologist I’ve ever been to who did not do a full body exam. I went in for a new spot on my head. She immediately recommended a nitrogen burn. When I declined and requested something less invasive, she wrote me a Rx for something that was to resolve the spot within a few days. Not only was the Rx ineffective, the gross billed charge to Blue Cross was $1,250. I went to my normal (very busy) dermatologist and received an all clear, no concerns whatsoever today. The spot on my head is “nothing at all to be concerned with”. For. Kim has nicely appointed offices, well trained staff but obviously very revenue driven. In the end, her diagnosis and treatment of the spot was incorrect. I’m neither unreasonable or difficult however, I expect any Dr. to follow a protocol of diagnosis snd conservative treatment. Neither occurred. Beware...

Awesome experience with Dr. Kim! She's got a great bedside manner without being overly chatty. She addressed all of my concerns and I waited almost no time in the waiting room or in her office. Would absolutely recommend.

This practice and doctor are very efficient, and Dr. Kim dealt quickly with the spots that brought me in. However, since I am in my 50's and had many pre-cancerous spits, I would have expected her, as a professional, to recommend a full evaluation and mapping of spots. I didn't think about it until afterwards, because I was focused on specific spots. She is highly efficient but that can create a feeling of being rushed rather than receiving full attention and care.

Dr. Kim is one of the nicest doctors I've ever been to. I moved to Ann Arbor recently and needed to see a dermatologist. I found her online because she was close to me in Ann Arbor, and I didn't want to go to the University. She had great five star reviews and so I called to make an appointment. Her office staff was nice and I was seated and seen in about 15 min. She was the first doctor I've been to who really listened to me and when she did her exam, she was more thorough than I ever could have imagined. Once she was done she let me know I could call the office anytime. A few days later on the weekend things seemed to get worse an I called the office and she had left her cell phone number for me to call!!! I texted her and she wrote me back in a few minutes on a Saturday night! Her words of reassurance were immeasurable. Things got better with me. Dr. Kim is amazing and her staff is great, I have recommended her to my family, my coworkers, and my friends.

I have seen many other dermatologists, but Dr. Kim is the first who really spent time listening to me and helped my skin issues. I have recommended my family and friends to see her without reservation.

Biography

Dr. Flora Kim is a board-certified dermatologist who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, received a full merit scholarship to medical school at the University of Virginia, and completed dermatology residency here in Dallas at UT Southwestern. Dr. Kim shared her care philosophy, "A doctor has a love for life and an even deeper love for people. My career as a dermatologist is not just my job; it is my passion. I will not only examine your skin, but truly listen to your concerns. Each and every time, I will do my very best to address your needs and be your biggest advocate to bring your skin back to optimal health. I hope to gain your trust and confidence, and work together to reach your goals. I am privileged to have the opportunity to build a relationship with you, your family, and your friends, and look forward to meeting all of your dermatological needs." Before entering the field of medicine, Dr. Kim was initially in the world of finance, investment banking in New York City until 9/11 happened. This event sparked a desire to serve others as a physician and triggered her career change. She was introduced to dermatology by a leader in the field while in Manhattan. Her passion for skin diseases grew while she conducted research at the Dermatology Branch at the National Institutes of Health and while as a medical student at the University of Virginia. She is indebted to all of her mentors – Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, Dr. Mark Lebwohl, and Dr. Kenneth Greer – who inspired and fostered her burgeoning profession as a dermatologist. Having spent her childhood years in Paris, France, the ease of hopping on a train or car to visit neighboring cities and countries has inculcated a curiosity for both domestic and international travel. Dr. Kim and her husband (a Head and Neck Cancer Surgeon), cannot wait to share their passion for travel and take their two young children around the fifty states and abroad.
