Dr. Derek Gunning has helped me performed my open heart surgery for valve replacement. I would like to give him a compliment for being very patient and kind during my stay at the hospital. He is very detailed at explaining every step of the process and answering my many questions. Very knowledgeable and wonderful doctor!

Thanks again Dr Gunning for allowing me to watch my grandchildren grow up.

Dr Gunning saved my life by putting me on ECMO in 2008, when it was seldom if ever used on adults and I was 42 at the time. In June 2016, my 71 year old father had a massive cardiac event & after being given CPR in the field for 45 minutes, was brought to Dr Gunning. I'm pleased to say that my father walked out of the hospital 3 weeks later, on his own accord. My father & I very literally, owe Dr Gunning our lives.
