I have never seen such abusive, negligent behaviour within the medical profession. Performed an unnecessary cesarean, did not gain consent before a vaginal exam. If you want a vaginal delivery you better hope dr Blair doesnt have plans on in the afternoon!

Doctor Blair and his expert staff are fantastic. You and your babies health and their number one priority. For such a demanding job that requires his attention 24hours a day 7 days a week as babies can come at anytime, he is always pleasant, personable and caring. After having 4 babies with Dr Blair, I will miss him and his team being a part of my life though I will always have the fabulous memories. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Highly recommend Dr Blair. I had a great vaginal delivery with him, not once was a C section mentioned so I wouldn’t agree that he is pro C section. His knowledge and experience prevented a dangerous situation which I will always be thankful for.
He is very direct and doesn’t like chatting through the what if’s too much but his knowledge is second to none.
I ended up being induced at 41 weeks but was never pressured to do the induction.
Loved being scanned at every appointment and will be going back to Dr Blair.

Dr Blair came up on my google searches as the best. So we went with him. I was super satisfied with his knowledge, bedside manner, professionalism and he was lovely to deal with. If you want a water birth with jasmine candles and Enya playing, I would avoid Dr Blair. Not because he isn't fab, but he does induce early and values the babies health above all else. If you have fantasies of a vaginal birth outcome no matter what, then I would go elsewhere, or to the midwives group. He definitely is Pro-Caesar. I had one and I honestly think if I had gone to someone else I could have avoided it. That said, i wasnt bothered about a V birth and my scar and recovery were second to none. Ill be going back to him for a planned one again.

Finding the right OB for you and your pregnancy is a personal preference. I encourage you to meet with a few and see how you feel - something I deeply regret not doing. Undoubtedly, Colin knows his stuff, and will keep you and your baby safe during your pregnancy. However, there were a few things that made me doubt my choice in OB multiple times during my pregnancy, which are just MY preference and experience. You may find that he suits your personality/needs perfectly. But personally my experience was:
- very vague and extremely short appointments for how pricy they are. I always left feeling like I found out more from Google.
- A ‘no bullshit’ approach (which my husband enjoyed) but being my first pregnancy I wanted someone to be more gentle guiding me through.
- Staff are as dry as milk arrowroot biscuits. Not there to be your friend or hold the door for you once your bub has arrived and you’ve got a pram.
- During labour it was the same, not warm and encouraging. Just ‘do this now or this will happen’ approach. Again, this may be your cup of tea.
- Doesn’t encourage physios.. you won’t be seen by one in hospital unless you ask a midwife. Do. Your. Pelvic. Floor. Exercises.
- Doesn’t prescribe anti inflammatory medications post birth. Pack some padsicles ‘cause OUCH.
- I did feel pressured into an induction. Ultimately having one, even though I was dilating naturally, young, and had a completely uncomplicated pregnancy. I wasn’t even a week over due when I was induced - as you can probably tell I’m quite dirty about this. But at the end of the day he had his reasons and you have to go with what makes your healthcare professional comfortable so they can best care for you I guess. Still mad though.
- Doesn’t examine you internally post birth... really not sure why. I found out the hard way I had a prolapse. Very expensive appointment to say goodbye?
Again, it really honestly is a personal preference. I have family and friends who adored DR Blair. He just wasn’t for me. I hope you find the right OB for you, and don’t be too scared to jump ship if it doesn’t feel right (I wish I did).

Dr Colin BLAIR is kind, compassionate, sincere, overwhelming calming and has a supportive nature. He has been there for our family since way back in mid-2007, after which we welcomed our daughter in 2008 and our first son in 2009. Now here we are with our very much planned second son in 2021. There were a couple of bumps in the road including GDM and most of all lots of anxiety and stress that comes with being, ahrm, a geriatric pregnancy, not that he ever called it that.

Our many appointments along the way were always highly anticipated highlights of the week, and we always came with lots of thoughts, questions and concerns. Every single time we came away destressed and content, thanks to his reassuring nature and attentive manner. Every so often in life’s great adventure, there are people that come along that have a profound and significant impact and for our family Colin is definitely one of those people. I don’t think the extent of our gratitude could ever be covered in every day words.

We will be forever grateful for his genuinely kind and warming nature, which has made the end of our baby adventures even sadder, knowing we probably won’t get to see him again. But we are very reassured the professionals in the world of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, has a true gentleman, to care for the many patients to come in the near and distant future. Thank you so much Colin, we will be forever grateful!

Dr Blair delivered my baby girl. He was consistently kind and calming throughout my entire pregnancy, and I couldn't recommend him enough. He really listened to my wishes of having a natural childbirth, and it perfectly as we had hoped.

Had my little boy with dr Colin in 2016- he was brilliant being a ftm I was super anxious and worried.. he made it a breeze for me, had a c section but was up and ready to walk the next day- it healed super quick, with minimal scaring. If I do have a second one, which I’m planning to- I’ll definitely be going to him. He was lovely to us

I changed to Dr Blair quite late into my pregnancy because of certain restrictions around Covid 19 at my initial hospital, this unnerved me slightly but I had been reassured he was a great Ob, and...he is! He is very knowledgeable and genuine in his approach, I would recommend him highly.

I went to Dr Blair with my first baby. I found him very knowledgable and put me at ease when I addressed all my concerns. I would definitely choose him again for my second baby.
