Dr Iva Properova is the 4 th GP have had in my 45 years living in Halifax. My previous GP prior to Dr. Properova was Dr.Grant, whom I would rate first class in all respects. Dr. Grant moved on to other challenges and Dr. Iva consented to take me on as a patient.
About 2 years later, I suffered a cardiac event which required a lot of attention and follow up by my GP with regard to blood results, and so forth. Her attention to this was exceptional and professional in every respect.
Dr Iva Properova is a professional in every sense !

One of the best Doctors in the city. She is incredibly smart and diligent. If you ask intelligent questions about advice she has offered, or prescriptions she wishes to write, she does not wave them off or dismiss you in any way but actually pulls out the heavy books other doctors use as decoration and checks the literature. She carefully reviews your file and she takes a great and very attentive care to her practices and patient care. She welcomes questions about her actions and greatly appreciates it when you advocate for your self. She takes the time to fully address any and all concerns you may have. At first she may come off a bit aloof when you are talking to her but it is rapidly evident that she is not merely sitting there nodding as you talk but taking everything you say in and some how compiling it to work out a better diagnosis. She is absolutely the best you could ask for in a doctor. Knowledgeable, professional, empathetic and incredibly intelligent.

Excellent doctor who is helpful and knowledgeable. She takes the time to look at your chart and offers helpful advice. She is a doctor who truly cares for her patients and I feel confident she offers the best of medical care.
