I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen by her and then once I did see her she basically just looked at the list of medicines I was taking, and the notes of a different psychiatrist NP. After reading these she decided by diagnosis was wrong and wanted to change all of my medicines. At this point I had been out of Tuckers psych ward less than 24hrs and she wanted to just start over. She barely ever gave me a chance to speak and was very condescending. I have been seeing a therapist for 3 years and have seen 2 different doctors at Tuckers and none of them have ever diagnosed anything other than Major Depressive Disorder but after like 15 minutes McAbee wanted to change my diagnosis to Bipolar. I found her very rude and judgmental and impossible to talk to. Needless to say I will never be going back to her.

She was very rude and made me cry. I also did not have my prescriptions called in in a timely manner.

The staff does not go out of their way to be nice or friendly but they were never rude to me. Joanna was a little late but I can understand why because it seems like she likes to get to know and spend time with her patients. She definiely listened to me and I could sense she really wanted to help me. Out of all the doctor visits I've had over the past year, I feel this one to be the most effective one and appreciated the time she spent with me.

She was 30 mins late for appt., blamed it on spending more quality time with patients than most doctors. Tried to describe symptoms to her, but she is not a good listener. She uses a manual to prescribe medication because she is not familiar enough with them. She has no empathy, and is very rude. She could not receive feedback without becoming defensive. Should have seen a qualified doctor for my mental health issues. It would have been worth the extra money.
