I think this is a Doctor of high calibre with extensive knowledge in his field. Everyone in his office is lovely ,Shelley especially , and the best ophthalmologist I've ever seen , Dr. Bellan . He is very polite ,very attentive and has always answered any question I've had without being pedantic and even the most stupid questions he answered without getting mad at me . I honestly wish there were more Drs like him . He made a scary day not so scary for me . Thank you Dr. Bellan .

Dr. Bellan stood back and allowed the professional staff he has around him to assist with great respect towards them.
He and they, treated me with understanding of my fears. The ability to alleviate the fear
and/or panic that people feel needs to be acknowledged.
Their confidence in him showed. The results of the procedure he performed on me was more than an operational success. I garnered confidence.
It was messy and I am a Northerner. I took great care of his procedure. Wow. He is an artist!

My experience was the best ever...Dr.Bellan is a skilled artist extraordinaire with his tools... he magically corrected my ptosis to the point where I resemble myself before this problem grew worse... he explained every step of the procedure and made me feel totally comfortable throughout the surgery... he has a warm, friendly bedside manner, something some of his peers sorely lack... kudos to his assistant Shelley, she was very friendly, efficient, knew her stuff and put up with my childlike behaviour... absolute gem...thanks to the nurses, Tara & Mike... they were very friendly and made sure the experience was the best it could be... thanks to Theresa the 3rd year resident... she removed my stitches very skillfully within a nanosecond to minimize my pain and was so sweet knowing it was going to sting a wee bit and made me feel special... I would have given the Doc a hug but that would not have been appropriate... I was absolutely tickled with the results... two year waiting period was worth the wait to be treated to the Doc's perfectionist standards... I would highly recommend him... he is a jewel...

Dr. Bellan took my mom in immediately and did a biopsy and was very friendly and gentle with my mom. I appreciated his honesty and how gentle he was with her.

Lorne Bellan, like many eye surgeons, is VERY busy, so you may wait for hours even if you arrive on time. As a surgeon he's an efficient artist. You are in the best of hands. The hospital is scruffy and well-used but the staff are super-friendly.
