Called to schedule an evaluation and came all the way in to be coldly told that he does not do evaluations and said if I did not want to take medication he could not help me. Dismissive and uncaring about the time and energy spent to make this appointment. Do not go to him, find someone with some humanity.

This if for Astoria Office. You will wait up to 1.5 hrs and then the Dr. will spend 5 minutes with you. He never took my medical history and asked very few questions. The Dr. never seemed like he was truly listening to me, just wanted to get me out of the office since they overbooked appointments. He had given me a monthly prescription. I explained to him that I was going on a trip and would not be back for a refill till a week after my next appointment. He refused to give me a few extra pills to carry me over. Additionally, the social worker in his office is very unprofessional and talks about herself for almost the entire session. She has issues. In fairness, the receptionists are very kind.

I disagree with the below comments. I thought he was Compassionate, and a good listener. To whom ever has left the above comments : ( I wouldn't judge other patients experience on watching To be honest your comments sound immature, you don't know other patients needs or experience so to say that Dr. Rezk is a pill pusher is irresponsible and rude. Doctor Rezk is a good doctor and i give a positive recommendation. don't listen to any bad comments people if you are honest he can help you too

Dr. Resk is nothing more than a pill pusher. I watched 2 patients go in front of me and they each took less than 15 min. Once I got inside and met him, I found out why. We spoke for less than ten minutes when he prescribed me Zoloft. I told him I had no interest in taking prescription medicine. He kept insisting and basically said I don't know what I'm talking about when I mentioned concerns about side affects and addiction. He was condescending and judgmental the entire 15 minute meeting. Which was our first and last. I told him he was making me really uncomfortable by insisting and not giving me other options. He told me long term therapy would not work for my case. My case that he only heard about for less than 10 minutes! I left feeling way more distressed than when I went in seeking help. This guy should not be practicing medicine.

Two words: Sarcastic and Unprofessional!!
This doctor doesn't have a sense of compassion or humanity.
Dealing with people , this is very important!!
Wants to charge money on the side.
Also his office has a very bad smell !
I don't recommend!

Dr. Rezk is lacking in compassion. I'm a trained psychotherapist and needed a specific drug that has proven effective for me. Dr. Rezk ignored my perspective, and insisted on doing it his way, which would mean more distress for me. He seems to have a streak of sadism. I'd not recommend him at all.
