Paul is a complete legend. I haven't seen him since 2001 & a lot has gone on in my life. I've so many problems but Paul just sat me down, went through everything in his usual calm & reassuring way, examined me, told me what he thought was going on & made a plan. I was so worried going in but feel much happier now I know that a doctor I trust and respect has me back under his care.
He has new secretaries since I've last attended & both ladies are lovely. As previous reviews have already said Paul is still a very kind, very attentive gentleman & I know he's going to help me through this journey.

I can't believe that I am pain free for the first time in over a decade.
I've had severe back & leg pain after surgery for many years and have attended loads of doctors over the years. Lots of pain specialists have given me injections which did nothing and they put me on strong painkillers which just turned me into a zombie.
The first moment I met Paul I knew he was in a completely different league to the others. He inspires such confidence , I knew that he could understand what I was experiencing and he put a plan in place to help me. On his advice I had an implant called a spinal cord stimulator put in. During the test run I couldn't believe it, my pain had dropped from 10/10 to 0-1/10. I had the battery put in a few weeks later and have just seen him for my 6 week follow up. I was delighted to tell him that my pain is 100% gone, I've started the process of returning to work and have come off all of my pain killers.
What can I say about Prof Murphy? He's a complete gentleman, he's kind, obviously very intelligent but able to simplify these really complex concepts so I could fully grasp what he was explaining. Technically superb at what he does. I wish I'd been referred to this man many years earlier.

Firstly, Paul is a lovely person and provides excellent care. I visit Paul every few months for a pain procedure and it is fantastic. I spent years with doctors being told there was nothing they could do to help me. I visited Paul over 10 years ago and he explained in great detail how the procedure would work. I was pain free for the first time in years. I literally couldn't recommend Paul enough if you suffer from chronic pain. He is a real gentleman and is so friendly unlike most doctors at his level. 11 out of 10

Really positive experience, got appointment pretty quickly. Prof Paul was really attentive, listened to what I wanted to say & examined me thoroughly. He went through what he thought the problem was & his explanation made a lot of sense. I’ve been to a few so called pain management specialists in Ireland & the U.K. who really didn’t seem to listen & just wanted to do lots & lots of injections. Prof Paul took me in for a procedure just before Christmas & I’ve had the best holiday period in many years. Most of my pain is gone, I know it’s going to come back ( because Paul told me it will) but now I know there is a really effective treatment that works for me. I can’t recommend Prof Paul enough. If you’re suffering from chronic pain he’s really the only person worth seeing.

Been with so many people over the years with no real benefit. My neighbour recommended Paul & I was so impressed after our first meeting to come out with a clear plan. I’ve have a few treatments over the last few months and can honestly say that I can’t remember the last time I felt so well & could move so freely. I’ was in two minds as to whether to rate Paul as I want to keep him to myself but everyone deserves to be treated by the best in the business.

I have a longstanding problem with my back. I’ve had treatment in a few other hospitals without much relief. Prof Paul explained what the problem was after examining me. I was a little confused as I’d had these facet joints treated before with no relief. Prof Paul told me that there were different ways to treat pain in this area & that he would do a treatment which involved pulsing the nerves. It took a bit over a week to work but I’m completely pain free 2 months down the line. I know from what Prof told me that I’ll need to repeat this every so often but the result is unbelievable. If you’ve got back pain he’s your only man!!! 5 star all the way.

Incredible doctor! I've been suffering with severe pain for many years, unable to function or live a normal life. I underwent an operation called spinal cord stimulation a few weeks ago & the results have been remarkable. My pain is virtually gone, I'm nearly off all my painkillers and I'm beginning to get my life back on track.
Lovely staff, shout outs to Karen & Dympna and to Deirdre from Medtronic. I'm been with so many spin al surgeons and pain doctors over the years, at last there is light at the end of the tunnel! Prof Murphy is such a lovely man, explained everything in detail and I'm thrilled with the results. Five star experience from start to finish, I can't recommend him and his team enough.

. I’ve spent many years with severe pain from a condition called CRPS. I finally got to see Professor Murphy 6 months ago after hassling my previous pain doctor for months.
I’m now 6 weeks after having a spinal cord stimulator put in & my life has changed. I’m off all of my medications & am going to be able to get back to work.
The man is a genius & gifted at what he goes but st the same time the most normal, down to earth individual you could ever hope to meet.

Paul tried multiple treatments over a year before finding one that worked. Incredibly thorough and kept going til he found relief for my chronic pain after years of suffering. Strongly advise anyone suffering to see him.
