Dr Esses is amazing! Shes done so much for me and my baby! I had a hard 3rd pregnancy at an older age. I had multiple complications and she sat down and explained my diagnosises to me in detail, and everything I need to do. She listened to my concerns with patience and understanding. Her concern was for the baby and for me. I've been to doctors in a few different states and it's really hard to find a doctor like her. She probably gets this all the time but, I absolutely love her for how she handled me. She knew how not to worry me and to calm me when i was worried. She genuinely cared! Everytime I left her office I felt I was in a ball of dr esses love and light, safe. She was excited for me. She said to me, "I'm not gonna give a diagnosis with out explaining it to you, that's my job" ! To her and to most people that seems like a no brainer but so many doctors do NOT do this! She holds her self to a high standard of what a doctor should be. That's just who she is, when it comes to her technical skill; she's on point! She has over 30 years of experience and she knows what she's doing. Trust her!!! She's your ultimate reference for your pregnancy and/ health! The ob delivery dept at Santa rosa was amazing as well. The staff that she had to perform my c-section with her was just as amazing as she is, in their own right. Soft and warm, comforting and caring. I loved everyone of them! Great job Dr Esses, as usual. My husband, my kids and I thank you for making sure Sarah is in our lives! Thank you for making sure I was here to see it too! There is no higher gradatude!

If you're looking for an OBGYN... this is the woman to call!

Dr. Esses delivered my child via emergency c section at 3 am a couple days before I was scheduled to have him. Unfortunately he was in a breach position when my water broke. All went well and we are both healthy.
During my pregnancy office visits went well. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and answered all of my first time mom questions without hesitation. Angie at the front desk was always so sweet and welcoming each time I came in for a visit. I really love Women and Children first and would use Dr. Esses again if I have another child.

I was diagnosed with a cyst “the size of your fist!” And esses said I needed surgery. She removed the cyst and a Fallopian tube. I trusted her and didn’t get a second opinion.

I ended up with a massive post op infection. I could hardly walk. She diagnosed me with GI problems, I had to take time off work for colonoscopy prep so i could have some sort of scan done. The nurse at SH was apologetic and said that scan is so outdated it’s not even done anymore.

The infection was raging, including vaginal bleeding. I went to a woman’s facility and in three minutes they diagnosed me with a severe infection. They were shocked it was overlooked.

This quack won’t even diagnose properly if she thinks it’ll affect her reputation.

She has a reputation. As a horrible and untrustworthy doctor. Check out her other reviews. She should have her license revoked.

Stay away!!!!

The appointments were fine.....until the birth.I have never been treated in such a way. This was my 3rd child...and by far the WORST birth experience. She literally sat in front of me ( while I'm having contractions)snapping her gum rolling her eyes....acting agitated and annoyed that it was taking long. Extremely cold, not comforting whatsoever. Ended up having an emergency c section...my first. She did not listen to me at all....at the end of it..she didn't even come check up on me and speak to me,( there were issues with my uterus)..the next day I told her I thought I was going to see her after she said" I went home"...I never went back for my follow up...I just didn't want to look at her. I've never been treated in such a way.

Ended up finding a new OBGYN after receiving C-section/merina inplant from Dr. Esses. I called her ofc several times to complain of extreme pain; very different than my first C-section (different hospital/doctor/state). I received no follow up appointment, and was told my pain was normal over the phone. Finally I went to ER and found out I had a hematoma (she told ER it was normal and not to do anything). After that I went to my general practitioner and without telling him anything about Dr. Esses he said that he was concerned about the care I was given and could tell by the scar that surgery was rushed. I immediately told him about the hematoma. My general practitioner also told me that the Mirena that had been placed in me was not placed properly. Based off of his own experience dealing with patients from Dr. Esses he recommended I try someone else. I immediately found a new OBGYN and went to have the Mirina removed. It's been a long year of recovery because of a "rushed" doctor.

I am 23 years old, I had my pregnancy confirmed there so I scheduled my first appointment. I wasn't expecting to be pregnant as my boyfriend has some complications, but we were both excited. During the first appointment I felt as if she was in a rush to get in and out and felt like she was very judgmental. I have struggled with depression and anxiety with little to no appetite even before I found out I'm pregnant, for a long time and I'm completely against taking pills. I did self medicate with cannibis and I wanted to be completely honest with my doctor and as soon as those words came out of my mouth I felt her just shut me out. There was so much judgement and little did she know my mom smoked heavy with me and my 5 other siblings, along with countless family friends and friends that have and have extremely healthy, smart babies. She then went on saying we could find pills and that me not eating was not a problem. Are you freaking serious?!? How can she care for pregnant moms and not understand the importance of a well balance and nutritional diet. I stopped smoking because I felt so shamed and would never, never do anything to harm my baby. Then 2 days after my appointment I bleed a little ( which could be normal after the vaginal u/s but was not informed so) i called her office immediately crying and looking for some help. It's been 3 days and no call back?!? The day of the bleeding I went to the ER and got checked out where they said everything was fine but the baby's heartbeat wasn't a little weak. I'm so ashamed that I didn't do more research to see she is a terrible doctor. Even more so for letting her make me feel so terrible, she did not care. Does not care. And also like one of the other comments she made me very uncomfortable for asking my boyfriend come back for the ultrasound, she and the nurse asked me about five times. I hope more women do research and find a better doctor! God bless

The staff was very unprofessional. I was prescribed medication that took care of my symptoms, but I had a bad reaction to. After a week and a half of trying to get answers, & three phone calls later, I still didn't get any answers. On the last phone call, the nurse put me on speaker phone after hours & asked me for the third time what my symptoms were( that were already treated) other staff members were laughing at my responses & yelling rude remarks. I finally gave up & switched to another doctor that got back with me immediately about the bad reaction that I was having. Dr.Esses never called me back at all. I am just happy that I didn't have her deliver any of my babies! If you read all of her reviews, there are several horrific stories posted about her in that role as well. I don't recommend her obviously!
