Stephanie Rikhy should not even be licensed as a Doctor (that I refuse to call her). ESPECIALLY not in the mental healthcare system. I urge you to seek elsewhere. The front desk alone says it ALL about the rest of the experience you will have. They all need to read the state medical code of ethics.

As a new patient I was scheduled out 6 weeks (1st available) to 08/31/2017 at 6pm. I patiently waited and received a confirmation text from her office on 08/30/17. On 08/31/17 as I'm driving to her appointment I received a call from the office saying they have to reschedule. They rescheduled for the following day 09/01/2017 at 3pm. On 09/01/17, my appointment had to be cancelled again. Next available for another 6pm is in October. For a Psychiatrist I would think she knows the urgency for care.

Very sweet, very courtiuos and very knowledgeable. I would recommend her. She listens, and genuinely cares.
Doesn't interrupt when you talk. I liked her straight away.

Dr. Rikhy is the psychologist I have ever seen. I have had bad experiences in the past. One of them didn't know me from one time to the next, nor what meds I was on and barely spent 5 minutes writing a prescription and that was all. Another one gave me a prescription for the wrong dose after having seen me for over a year and didn't even apologize whenb I pointed it out. Then there was the one who told me I shouldn't expect to attain my goal of a feeling of well-being given my personality. And the last one ranted and raved at me when I called to tell him I had gotten lost on my way to his office (first visit) and I wanted to know if I could reschedule. He told me he can't see me - ever! And then I found Dr. Rikhy. She takes time to find out what your issues are and what you've taken in the past, and how it has worked. She doesn't just prescribe whatever happens to be the popular anti-depressant at the moment - she is obviously very knowledgeable and she carefully considers what would be best for you, even if it is something that isn't used that commonly. She is very careful about monitoring any negative medical effects that the antidepressant could cause. She takes a lot of notes and remembers (or at least reads over) what was discussed before. She is very sweet - she reminds me of my grown daughter, and I would be just as proud of her if she was my daughter!

Dr. Rikhy did not know what to do when I was in a crisis situation. She blamed me when I called her emergency service and told me that I was not to call because there is nothing she can do for me I need to speak to a therapist. I was getting a reaction to medication at the time.

Listens well. Allows and expects my input on medications prescribed, also plan of care and goals. I like her very much. Soft spoken petite.

I waited over an hour in a small, cramped waiting room-a/c wasn't working or on (July in Florida is unbearably hot & muggy). I suffer from anxiety anyway & the long wait, no a/c, coupled with the fact there wasn't any room to sit down (the people waiting were all men)& not one of them offered me their seat. I guess it's just the times we live in, but I thought that was very rude. (not the doctor's fault) When I was finally called back to see Dr. Rikhy, she was very nice. Seemed genuinely interested in my problems & immediately changed my Psych meds to add a new combination. She emphasized the fact that I could reach her any time through the answering service & if I had any problems with severe reactions or questions to contact her immediately. I was spitting out my issues rapid-fire since it was my first visit. She was very patient & did a great deal of writing as I was speaking (which is a good thing) I'm hoping she will be able to help me start to live my life in a positive way.

Dr. Rikhy does try to help. I must say that, but she did more harm than good. Getting you on the right meds, she is great, it's when she tries to counsel and play therapist you need to watch out.
