I submitted a review back in May of 2014. 'Wanted to update it. In my opinion, customer service has improved quite a bit. There is still a little bit of phone tag that happens from time to time, but that's just how it works at any office. I'm interested to see if the new portal enables the patient to receive more timely feedback. The front desk staff members are very friendly and professional, as are the nurses. Dr. Wakeley is an excellent doctor. She's extremely knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and is a great listener. She'll also call you out if you aren't doing what you're supposed to be doing. :o) Excellent doctor.

Staff: I met her new PA, Emily who seems nice. the rest of the staff seem like they are busy, so that might be why I feel like they do not want to spend time talking to me as I would like. 3/5 stars. I also never seem to get anyone when I call, it just goes to voicemail. Punctuality: I had to wait 15 min after my appointment time so 4 out of 5 stars on that one, 15 min is the minimum now I guess in all clinics. They tell me it is because of all the extra paperwork and problems their computers and the insurance companies make them do. I have the same problem at the other doctors offices I go to. Helpfulness: 5/5. She knows her stuff and is a very nice doctor to talk to. She started me on a new drug which makes me remove sugar in my urine. I love it because I not only had some A1C drops but I have lost like 10 lbs on it so far. I also was able to reduce my units of insulin and my A1C last check was under 7! Then her nurse told me the new drug has a copay card making it free and I couldn't believe it. My regular doctor seemed like he didn't know much about this new drug so I had to tell him all about it! Knowledge: 5/5 I have learned a lot from her. She knows her stuff and has made a number of changes that my regular doctor never considered. She explains what she thinks will help me, and she was right. Overall, I would highly recommend her, I finally feel like I am reaching my goals. Now if only people didn't have to wait like 4 months to see her!

Excellent doctor -- when you actually get to see or talk to her. Terrible customer service in terms of failure to return phone calls. Three times in the last 6 months I've left a message containing questions via the nurse's voice mail -- No call backs (from nurse or doctor). A couple of other times calls were returned. Some consistency would be nice. I'm not the kind of patient who pesters her doctors with minor questions/issues. When I make the call, there is something pretty significant going on. A call back within 24 hours should be the norm. Finally, the gal at the front desk is very professional and friendly. The guy - not so much.

Very disappointed in the front office staff, they cancelled my appointment without my knowledge, seem to think of you more as a number than an individual.

Dr. Wakeley spent some time with me and told me a lot I did not know about my diabetes. She is very nice and understanding in treating diabetes. She suggested a new kind of therapy that is not insulin but a once a week injection that she thought would work to get my blood sugars down. It also might cause me to loose weight. Well I was NOT keen on trying anything that has a needle but she told me it was a small needle and the added benefit of loosing weight was key. So I tried it and after a few months I am loving it. Not only is my blood sugar the best it has ever been, I also have lost a few pounds which is awesome! I still do not like needles, but only having to do it once a week is no big deal. I would recommend Dr. Wakeley to anyone and I love her new office. It is very bright and clean and the staff really makes you feel welcome. If you have Diabetes and are not under good control like me, stop wasting time and visit her!
