I was referred to Dr. Kazmi following a diagnosis of trigeminal neuralgia.
After a cursory examination, l was given a prescription for gabapentin. I respectfully declined, citing several side effects that l was not willing to endure. Dr. Kazmi then questioned me as to why l was here. I discussed with her that in a five year span, the frequency and intensity of my episodes has decreased significantly, and did she want to know what l had found, over this time, that makes this condition better, as l have kept ongoing journals of antecedents and various practices that significantly help.
Her response really floored me. She said, "actually Patricia, that's not a question l would normally ask a patient".
Enough said. For me, this needed to be one of the first things we discussed .
Not a gal l'm interested in doing business with.

I can't leave a review of the doctor, but her office staff are TERRIBLE! It's absolutely impossible to get a hold of someone to reschedule or cancel an appointment.

I was booked for an appointment in January, but my phone blocked the call because it was an anonymous number. The office staff only told me that she calls from a private or anonymous line AFTER the appointment was missed and we were rebooking.

Second appointment in February was also suppose to be in-person, but I contracted Covid-19. They asked if I would prefer a phone appointment (to keep the timeslot), which I declined.

Third appointment in March, I called every single day for a week before trying to get a hold of someone. The voicemail message explicitly states that voicemails for ANY reason will not be returned, and that you have to speak to someone to cancel or reschedule. Well, the office called me 5 minutes before my appointment asking if I intended on coming into the office. I told them no, and I had phone call records that show I've tried calling every day, multiple times each day, to reschedule the appointment, so, can we do that? I was told, extremely curtly that "it would be up to the doctor", then I was hung up on. I called my GP immediately and requested the requisition be sent to a different neurologist, and explained why. They were NOT impressed with the fact that I couldn't get a hold of someone AND that voicemails were not returned - how exactly do they expect to run an office with those kind of policies?

My other (somewhat minor) issue with this office is that the original appointment was for a consultation ONLY. The other neurologist I was scheduled with actually did an NCS/EMG at the appointment. I don't appreciate my time wasted, so if this doctor requires a consult BEFORE testing (when my GP has already done preliminary assessments), that's wasting my time and taxpayers dollars.

This dr said there was nothing wrong faith me and that I was a good actress after a car accident. I was later diagnosed with post concussion syndrome and with brain trauma leaving me with permanent damage to the frontal and right temporal lobes.
She doesn’t care to listen to the patient at all. She is dismissive and uncaring.

She was dismissive, accusatory and did not listen to me. Total waste of time, I would ask for a referral elsewhere.

I suffer from severe headaches and have seen specialists and dont many tests., to no avail. Now I was referred to Dr. Kazmi by my family doctor..I had to cancel my original appointment due to family emergency where I had to fly out of country. I left a msg for cancellation and the staff member Sandra was so kind to call me back and offer me another appointment in future without having to go back to my doctor for another referral( that never happens). And then the things changed due to Covid 19 and I couldn't see the doctor in her office. Staff member again called me and offered an over the phone appointment with the specialist. I thought I was dreaming. With my severe headaches I needed to see a specialist like yesterday. So this over the phone appointment came so handy. Doctor herself called me and discussed everything so patiently and gave me all the information that I needed for the medication I might be taking. At th end of the call I felt so good that i my concern was heard properly, I wasn't rushed through the call, I was well informed of my options so that I can make an informed decision.
Thank you Dr. Kazmi and your staff so being so kind and understanding and accommodating in these difficult circumstances.

My husband had seen many specialists as he had a variety of strange symptoms. It was a real relief when Dr. Kazmi thought that he may have a cerebrospinal fluid leak, a suggestion that put us on the right path. She also arranged for him to have a blood patch procedure so we have to thank her for all that. However, her care has been erratic to say the least - there's a terrible unreliability there too - just trying to get a 'phone call returned becomes almost impossible. A long, long badly-recorded message is an ordeal you have to get thro' before leaving your message and good luck to anyone wanting a call back! It gives you a horrible feeling being completely ignored by the doctor who's meant to be helping you - ill people are fragile and can't handle the irritations of life well. We've left 4 polite messages in the past 10 days, asking for a prescription and haven't heard a peep.

I waited in her office for 1 hour each time I had an appointment with her... as if I have time to waste, when you set an appointment it is crucial that you acknowledge the importance of my time as well. Secondly, she is persistent on putting you on long term Daily medication even when you want to explore other treatment options she shuts it down quickly and calls it a waste of time. She talks and doesn’t listen. She is not helpful and I would never recommend her, truthfully it worries me that she is the dr of other patience especially elders that might not now any better... I would go as far to say that someone needs to take a look into her.

Prepare to wait over an hour for your appointment. I have seen her 5 times and every time I have had to wait over an hour. Once she began to prescribe a medication based on a set of symptoms none of which were mine. I had to stop her and tell her they were not my symptoms. She was not helpful at all While she may be knowledgeable her application of that knowledge is poor.

Often, we take time to rate bad (not good) experiences. That said, I was impressed with Dr. Kazmi. When I met with her in March, I did have to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time but was happy with the tests she performed and the fact that she took time the time to answer my questions.
