The fact that Dr. Britto is allowed to practice psychiatry in this province is an indication of a system with inadequate checks and balances. My three appointments with her were completely useless. The second and third visits were basically like meeting her for the first time. She has no clue how to help people struggling with mental health issues and does more damage by creating a lack of trust in doctors. It is truly a travesty that she is not investigated for incompetence. We are in desperate need of more health professionals but not Dr. Britto. If you are referred to her you need to ask to be referred to the others in the area, such as Dr. Carey. It does not feel good to write this review, but if you are in a mental health crisis like I was, I cannot stress enough how much of a waste of time and energy it was seeing her.

Dr. Britto is kind and professional. She has helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. I saw her around nine months ago for the first time, and she is a true ANGEL. When I saw her initially I was incredibly suicidal and now I have not had those thoughts since. She respects your opinions and listens to me, and I have found her incredibly helpful.

Dr Britto is not good at her job. I would do everything possible to see someone else. She was condescending and rude and my second appointment with her may ad well been my first. I have never experienced such an incompetent medical professional.

This doctor is a complete joke, as a physciatrist. I spoke with her one time back in Feb. It became very apparent. I was wasting my time. She couldn't even take the time. To listen, to the actual words coming out of my mouth. According to her hour phone call. I didn't have what I was diagnosed with. By a doctor, who seen me at my worst.. and took the time to figure out. The real issues..

So fast forward to a few weeks ago.. I get another referral,bro this A** clown. For nothing more than a physc assessment. Apparently now all of a sudden. She has to see me in person. I made every option available.. but I will not webcam.. for anyone.. period.. it sketches me out big time..

So after two conversations with her bonehead assistant. Who has zero listening skills.. and couldn't wrap his brain. Around very simple concepts.. I was refused to be seen.. (really didn't hurt my feelings.) But inconveniencent, for getting my license.. so I can go back to work..

Now this strikes me as very odd. She can do an assement over the phone... Change medication, for a person. That deals with an acute physciatric condition.. (and not a very good one. ) Not knowing what could happen...

But she can't do a driver's assesment over the phone? Makes Zero Sense.. I'd hate to think. How many lives, this useless doctor has ended.. because of her own stupidity.
You will literally feel worse. After meeting with her. She doesn't listen at all... And expect to jump through hoops. Just like a little circus monkey. And she'll push medication, like she's got shares in big pharma..
This is one doctor, should seriously consider a career change. 75 percent of your job is listening.. and if you can't do that... You should find an alternate career.. before you hurt someone... Or things get real..

What a joke, and her patients are the punchline.. pretty disappointing.. for real people, with real problems.. looking for real solutions.

She was my doctor years ago in Trail, BC. She was what I needed in a psychiatrist at the time and I was fortunate to have found such a good fit. Moved to the USA shortly thereafter and have not required psychiatric help since.

She loves to roll her eyes and shake her head. She's very cold, judgemental, and loved to belittle me. She did not like that I wrote down things that I need her help with. She did not believe in my past trauma's. She made me feel more suicidal than I ever have in my whole life. She had zero empathy and made me feel so little. I think she got off on me crying. She's very critical and demeaning. I've never felt so low about myself in my whole life, thanks to her. I often wonder how many suicides she's responsible for. If you want to improve your life and get better, do not go to her. She will make you feel awful and worthless.

A straightforward psychiatrist who will assist with your pharmaceutical treatment. Do not expect a psychologist as she isn't one. She is knowledgeable and helpful and will help you with your treatment if this is the treatment you are looking for. She doesn't do CBT or DBT but could potentially refer you. Great doctor overall.

I have been seeing for more than 6 years. She is to the point and some may find her rude. I have seen my fair share of Psychiatrist and she has been a good fit for me. She has been excellent with medications I am on less medication and I able to function without being in a drug fog. if your looking for counseling don't expect that from a psychiatrist.

Dr. Britto is a very knowledgable but to the point doctor. If you are truly on a journey to healing and bettering yourself she is very happy and friendly. She even has seen me around town and waved. I have been seeing her for 3 years now and I will stick with her as long as I need her. As long as you aren't sensitive to people that are direct and straight forward, Erica Britto is amazing. Highly recommend.
