Please save yourself from ridicule and harassment. This women is horrid. She told me the only one who can save me is a psychiatrist. I sat there for 45 minutes and listened to her berate me. I should have walked out. I did in tears.. I was diagnosed with neuropathy and had respitory failure while in NYC. I was in the hospital in a state I didn't know for 30 days. They saved my life. But dr. Hughes told me to go to a psychiatrist. Unbelievable. She really needs to get her license removed. Nebraska does not need a quack dr. Like her. Please do not go to her.

I won't be returning again. I'll go off my medication before I return to this horrid woman. She's disrespectful and very dismissive. I have terrible migraines but she does nothing for them. If something works for her, it's supposed to work for you as well. She said a symptom that I have did NOT present with the condition I have when countless other doctors have said, yes it does present with this condition. It actually precedes it. She failed to mention that my condition could graduate to something more serious after I was diagnosed. That isn't something you're supposed to forget, given how serious of a development it is. She's rude. I left my last appointment in tears and have nightmares because of the things she said. She verbally acknowledged that I have depression but then went on to degrade me despite that acknowledgement. She had the audacity to ask me if I had the intention to be committed when I was older if something happened to my mother because I still live with her. No, I will NOT be returning to this horrid and rude woman.

Recommended to neuro for optic nerve damage. I did stupid human tricks, answered questions & began to state my symptoms, I was cut off after a few things & told they could be anything. I had more to discuss but was blown off. She sent me for an MRI but leaned towards stroke or out of shape. She scheduled me for an optic neuro. Follow up scheduled 3 days after but results ready in 2. I called & was told they "found some things" but couldn't discuss, I had to be seen Monday. I showed up, paid my co-pay & was taken back. Hughes forgot who she sent me to, didn't take notes from the prev appt & told me there's nothing wrong. Found a spot but I should have 4 of them due to my age, I asked what it was, she replied, a ditzel, I asked what a ditzel was, she lifted her shirt, exposed her belly & showed a dark mole. Said, it's nothing, out of my ballpark, optic neuro will call her. She hopes my eye doc is uneducated w machines & doesn't know how to read results. Office girls: rude, unfriendly.

Dr. Hughes was very rude and strange. The second time I saw her was supposed to be for a couple tests for my neuropathy. Instead, she spent a half hour telling me that in a month I'd be in a wheelchair, should make sure all my surroundings are wheelchair-friendly and have my car's gears changed so that I could drive using my hands! That was a wasted half-hour and $25. The next time she actually did the tests, said I had no nerve damage and wouldn't need her. She left the room. I continued to sit there until an office lady looked in and said, "Oh, you're here yet! You can go." Those visits were a year ago. It's November, 2013, and I am fine -- no wheelchair!

Seemed to already have her mind made up about me before she saw me. Told me I could only give her 5 symptoms, no more! Very rude and out of touch ! Did not listen ! I wish I would have read her reviews before I saw her.

This doctor had mixed reviews but I still went to see her. She was not punctual, rude, and sarcastic about my symthoms and seem to have a 20 minute time limit. I would not recommend her unless you want to have your symthoms ridiculed. She even went on to insinuate that my insurance might not pay for further testing, so she refused to do any.She said I was just "Getting Old"...I am 45.

Dr. Hughes examined my shoulder and arm after I kept coming back on the third time. When I refused the treatment she recommended she flew into a rage and yelled at me for an extended period of time. The treatment was extremely painful and costly and had to be repeated every three months. I knew it would put me on lifetime limits with insurance and I didn't fancy such painful treatment with dubious results. She may be a very good neurologist but she treated me contemptibly with great disrespect.
