When you ask for medication orders, I am pretty sure a physician is not supposed to suck air through his teeth and look you up and down.

Dismissive and rude - he didn’t even ask my daughter why she needed care.. missed her problem completely

I saw this physician in the Island Health Oceanside HealthCentre, on an Urgent Care basis. I found him to show bias with respect to ageism - as though I was not worthy of a full examination nor any further testing! His lack of patient empathy, which was highlighted by his willingness to provide pharmaceuticals, but not actually address my issues, was stupefying. He is not the kind of doctor that Parksville so urgently needs. (My rating of staff really is little use as they are not his employees, plus they really did a poor job when they are supposed to be a triage unit, serving the most urgent, not the first in line)

Doctor Ben is a epicenter for bullying and harassment. Retaliation is against the human rights and labor code. Hundreds of complaints go to the vancouver island health authorities on a weekly basis. DOES THOS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL INSECURE DOCTOR SUSPEND EVERY NURSE OR DOCTOR THAT HAS A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM. ABSOLUTELY NOT. The minister of health should fire Ben Williams ! Appoint a man or woman as the too doctor! Ben the child is incapable of leadership.
This health care system is already fragile enough without a menace failure of a Suprivisor. Let's SUSPEND every doctor that has a complaint against them! Ben can be responsible for all the sick and dying.

I saw him in ER for a problem that I’ve been suffering for 3 years 12 visits to ER 10 ER doctors and he figured it out in 10 minutes very smart he looked at my injuries and explained the problem amazing!! I wish he was my family doctor he’s kind smart and listened to what I had to say thank you so much and to the nurses as well thank you

I had three separate issues and he was a cross between my Orthopedic surgeon and myself. He spoke to him and relayed good info to me by phone. I wish he could be my full-time doctor. I like him and his manner very much.

Have had to see him twice in the past couple weeks with my daughter. Exceedingly kind, sympathetic and easy to deal with.
