Dr Metcalf has seen several of my children who are all older adoptees or foster children. She is an amazingly effective therapist who had had 100% positive results with my children. Simply the best especially dealing with childhood trauma.

Dr. Metcalf has been our counselor on and off for years. First. my wife and I went in for help on dealing with our son's school problems. She reviewed his IEP with us, and gave us a list of suggested changes which the school approved of. Later we brought our teenage girl in when she was dealing with bullying problems in her high school. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a positive thinker and very warm and personable.

I have issues, I also have difficulties with sharing what is inside. Dr. Mecalf was able to help me with what has bothered me for years. She was not one to pressure me to share, and when I did there was no feelings of guilt or remorse. Not every psychologist is the right fit for every person and what thier issue is, but for me her help was what I needed.

Lisa provided reunification services for our family. It was a scary time for us, being unsure if a counselor could help reunite me with my children. She immediately made us feel at ease. Part of the sessions were structured, and then there were times for discussion and solving specific problems. She has a great sense of humor I think helped the kids feel comfortable. We had been to a couple other therapists in town without much success. Both my attorney and the other side had great things to say about her. I am so grateful for the chance to work things out. We return to her as needed for life issues and coparenting.

Dr. Metcalf provided services to my children for grief issues following a death in our family. Several of our friends referred us to her and are extremely complimentary of her approach and success. Our children felt well cared for by Dr. Metcalf. She was able to deal with both our daughter 5 and our son 11, one of whom has a speech and learning issue. We were extremely pleased with Dr. Metcalf and recommend her services to many. Yuba City's finest.

My family have received services from Dr. Lisa for many years on and off. She is kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Our situation involved marital therapy, and the need to put an IEP request forward. Lisa was with us every step of the way. I have several friends and employees who have used her services with ONLY great things to say about her. This includes two of my employees who had her for custody-related issues. She does not work for the court. But she is the only person willing to "stick her neck out" to help others despite the obvious backlash of bitterness in some of these reviews. She is highly ethical, and it's very obvious that a couple people are very upset about the outcome of their court cases. The claims are ludicrous, and anyone with half a brain can figure that out.

Dr. Metcalf is an amazing provider. She specializes in children and is the only child custody evaluator in the area. She is respected by the judges and lawyers in our community. It's obvious there are a couple of people who keep posting negative reviews, which are really ridiculous and slanderous. Our involvement with her was the result of a court order for reunification therapy. She was able to get my ex and I to work together on behalf of the children. Her credentials are real and we have referred many people to her and have notified others of these foolish untrue reviews.

It is sickening to know that this woman is still allowed to be around children and families. She is not a Doctor, she has a doctorate in teaching. She not a psychologist. She has lied several times under oath, lying on court documents. If you as a parent question her approach or how she address you or your children, she will make you pay a huge price in court. She brings her child into sessions, she has lied about her credentials. She is always late or a no show all together. She inconsistent on every thing she says, and her lack of understanding, truma, depression, axinty, devorice. She extremely unqualified to have any contact with children or adults, families, Lisa Metcalf, is a danger to everyone she comes into contact with. She would write her own reviews to make herself look like a decent person and a good what ever she claims to be... protect yourself from this person she is a very sick, demented, person and does not care about who she hurts...

Lisa is a very nice person but she has no problem with telling "half truths" under oath .
