Never spoke to Dr. Lari. His student called and asked me some questions. Told me that she would discuss with Dr. Lari and call me back. She called me later with a medication prescription. And that was it. I never heard anything from them again. Did not help me one bit, having a brief question period with a student and sent some med prescription. Not my idea of Mental Health help. Terrible!!!

Terrible experience. Saw HIS student doctor for over an hour. He came in and did not even sit down. Was standing up, while me, my wife and HIS STUDENT PhD Sat down. He told me I needed medication and walked out of the room... Worst Psychiatrist if you actually need to talk to someone about your diagnosis... And if you need clarification on your diagnosis...

I booked an appointment far in advance, had to wait a long time to get the appointment. Was told I had to reschedule because Dr. Lari is going to be on vacation that week and the next available appointment was in February. Receptionist did get me in sooner in Dec. I didn’t even get to talk to him during my appointment instead his colleague did the assessment then passed the info on to Dr. Lari. Dr. Lari didn’t even have the decency to call himself to tell me my results and recommendations. Would never recommend him to anyone.

Had an appointment scheduled a month in advance only to be told a week before I now have to wait 4 more months because the doctor was busy? Was not told there was any kind of emergency just simply that he was busy. Makes me think there is major issues with organization.

Terrible experience. Can’t be bothered to take more than 20 mins to evaluate a patients life and problems. Then sent me on my way with medication recommendations of meds I have already taken that didn’t work. Terrible human being who doesn’t care about his patients.

He can't even be bothered to speak directly to a patient who has been in crisis for over 9 months now and desparately needed actual help, without being forced to. He has his resident speak to you, claim you will get a formal diagnosis, but also adamant that he/them cannot assess and/or diagnose the very issues you were referred to him for.

What is the point other than to collect a paycheck? Do not see this man if you are in crisis and/or have struggled with anything more severe than mild to moderate depression.

I suffer from emotional dysregulation and despite the fact that I repeatedly stated that I wasn't angry/frustrated at him/them, I'm just having a hard time managing my emotions and I've struggled my entire adult life getting adequate care, didn't matter.

How is a SPECIALIST in the field of mental health not able to navigate negative emotions without completely dismissing and further traumatizing a patient?

I was referred to Dr. Lari to be assessed for ADHD. He started the call by telling me to set aside the formal diagnostic criteria I was asked to fill out ahead of time, and explain why I thought I had ADHD apart from my correspondence to the actual criteria. When I attempted to do so, he cut me off after less than a minute to say he couldn't differentiate between my symptoms of ADHD and my anxiety, and refused to refer me to anyone more capable. He hung up on me after five minutes. I wish there was more recourse I could take to protect other potential patients from this level of neglect, but as far as I know there is not, so here, have a review on "Rate MDs.com". If your GP won't refer you to someone better, find a new GP. Lari is not worth your time.

I found Dr. Lari to be a masoganistic, biased individual who was cold and lacking in empathy. I find it interesting that an individual such as this is in the practice of psychology. It is clear he is only in his profession for the money.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult 4 months ago, my family doctor started me on ADHD medication, but they made my anxiety worse. I have anxiety as a result of living with undiagnosed ADHD. So, my family doctor referred me to Dr. Lari so he can handle my medication. I didn't talk to Dr. Lari, a person from his office called, after asking some questions, she dismissed my ADHD because I have finished university. That was a painful experience. Then she called back and said you are right, you have ADHD, but we can't help you with it. At the end, recommended the anxiety medication I was already on and that was it. The most unhelpful session I could imagine.
