From what I have observed, I would bet my life that the poster from 11/3/13 is a complete troll. I shadowed Dr. Elise and she is the total opposite of what that poster described. She is a happy resident that works incredibly hard. She will be a great attending physician in a few years. It's a shame that we live in a world where passion and positive energy can be viewed as "goofing off" and that people resort to ad hominems when constructing an argument. Dr. Schmidt is one of the most friendly, approachable, and knowledgable residents that I have ever met. I cannot stand by and let one clearly biased, incoherent, and harmful review stand alone. I fail to believe that she would ever lie to her patients. To the commenter on 11/3/13: Patients like you have changed healthcare for the WORST. You're probably the type to try to sue over the most petty things. It makes me happy to know that if I don't get into medical school that I will avoid hideous people like you. Goodness will prevail.

She is the worst resident/doctor I have ever had. She lied about tests being done and results. She is the most unprofessional doctor/resident I have ever seen. She is unable to handle stressful situations and she should never be allowed to graduate from her residency program or be granted a full license to practice medicine. She acts like a school girl goofing around in the ICU with the nurses and in the hallways of the hospital with a male. She gives medical professionals a bad name. UPMC should be embarrassed to have her as a resident.
