I had resigned myself to living with what I had, but reconsidered after having a consultation. Dr. Schmidt was honest in her evaluation, which I deeply appreciate, but the results are beyond what I expected! I an so happy I chose her! I would encourage anyone to at least do the consultation if you have questions or are even considering anything!

My experience with Dr Schmidt and staff so far has been exceptional. It took me a while to make up my mind to have an abdominoplasty surgery but once I decided to go ahead with it, Dr Schmidt, Amaris, Tracy and the entire staff made the process very smooth. Dr Schmidt is very approachable and her personality makes you feel relaxed and at ease. I can tell she is very smart and enjoys her job. Even when my surgery had to take place in the hospital because of some issues with my anatomy, she was very flexible and made me feel very comfortable. I feel amazing. Thanks to Dr Schmidt and the staff at Blue water surgery.

I started considering the idea of a breast augmentation, but was overwhelmed with the process. A friend pointed me in the right direction and said “just have a consultation with Dr. Schmidt. It’s just a conversation to see if it’s right for you.” I am so happy I did.
Dr. Schmidt’s is as knowledgeable and professional as she is friendly and approachable. We talked about the look I wanted and the options I had to get there. I went over my questions and concerns while Dr. Schmidt listened and educated me. The consultation took me from anxious and unsure to confident and ready.
Once I scheduled my procedure, my next appointment was a Pre-Op with the nurse, Bethany. She laid out all the pre and post-surgical instructions with a neatly organized and personalized binder. I have referenced this binder before and after the procedure many times; its really comes in handy and takes away a lot of the “what did they tell me about that again…” moments.

The day of the procedure I was felt like I was standing in line for an amusement park ride; maybe a little nervous, but more excited than anything. After checking in, I was greeted promptly and taken back by the nurse Melissa. I also met my anesthesiologist and some of the other surgical support staff. I felt very well attended to and surprisingly comfortable considering it was my first surgery ever.
My recovery has been a breeze with minimal discomfort. I returned to work on day 5. My follow-up appointments were reassuring that everything looks and feels exactly like it’s suppose to. I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

I came to dr. Schmidt wanting my huge implants removed and a breast lift. She gave me so much confidence in what she could do. She put in much smaller implants and gave me a lift and they are so beautiful. I also have abdominal liposuction to complete the look. Dr. Schmidt is just amazing. The entire staff and the facility is top-notch. I appreciate the credentials of the surgeons, operating facility, and the surgical team. They only use MD anesthesiologists and i was the only patient so i had everybody's focus. Tracy and Amaris started me with the plan, Melissa was my pre op nurse and she is so sweet and soothing. Dr Schmidt and the anesthesiologist came to talk to me right before surgery. Then I was asleep and woke up in the postop room. There's a back door so nobody saw me leaving! I was worried about pain and nausea so the anesthesiologist put in a little extra to hold me over when i woke up. Dr Schmidt called to check on me that night. The abdominal liposuction is the most tender, but definitely tolerable. The next morning I had a check up and Dr Schmidt took off the bandages and I was just thrilled! I knew it would be good, but i was still stunned by how much better I look! I had been considering this surgery for years and i talked to someone who went to Dr Schmidt who said not to wait because it is such a relief to have the breasts lifted. Dr Schmidt is an artist and is so meticulous about her work. I've already recommend her to friends and family.

I recently had a chin liposuction with Dr. Schmidt at Blue Water Plastic Surgery. Every aspect of my experience, from pre-op to post-op, was exceptional! I wanted to get a chin liposuction because the fat under my chin really bothered me, especially when I saw pictures of myself in profile. When I met with Dr. Schmidt for my consultation, she confirmed that I would be a good candidate for the procedure and also suggested doing fat aspiration of my jowls to contour my jawline. I had never considered my jowls before, but I am so glad that I trusted Dr. Schmidt's aesthetic eye. I am two weeks post-op now, and I am absolutely thrilled with my results! Even with a little bit of swelling under my chin and in the jowls (which is completely normal at this stage in my recovery), I can already see the difference in my profile that I was hoping for. My jawline looks so much more contoured now, and I feel like I can actually see my chin!

I'm thrilled not only with my results, but with the entire experience I had as a patient at Blue Water Plastic Surgery. At every step in the surgery process, I felt exceptionally well-cared for. I was feeling a little bit nervous on the morning of my surgery, but my pre-op nurse, Felicia, did so much to put me at ease. She answered all of my questions and explained everything that was going on. At no point did I feel confused about what would happen next. Nurse Felicia did so much to comfort me and alleviate my anxiety.

My surgery was performed under IV sedation rather than general anesthesia, so I was in a "twilight" state of consciousness. Due to local anesthesia and the IV sedation, I did not feel any pain during the procedure.

Nurse Bethany helped me wake up from the IV sedation once the surgery was complete. She was so kind and professional, and like Nurse Felicia, she took excellent care of me.

I am so glad that I chose to have my surgery with Dr. Schmidt and her amazing team at Blue Water Plastic Surgery. Dr. Schmidt's extensive training combined with her kind and professional demeanor make her an exceptional aesthetic plastic surgeon. Dr. Schmidt is dedicated to her patients' well-being and safety as much as she is dedicated to providing her patients with the beautiful, natural-looking results they want. I have been thinking about surgery for a while, my upper lids were very heavy and laying on my lashes. I
felt it made me look tired and older than my age.
I decided to meet with Dr. Alexandra Schmidt at Blue Water Plastic Surgery Partners, because 2 of my
friends, one whom had a face lift and the other had breast surgery, both look amazing, and their scars
where completely invisible.
When I first walked in, I noticed the facility was beautiful and the front desk staff were warm and
welcoming. Oh, and the office, it is so private, it is a first-floor office and surgery center with a private
back door exit, that has its own parking space just for patients. They used fobs to enter into the surgery
center so I felt safe and secure.
After being brought back to the exam room, I was so nervous, but Dr. Schmidt and her nurses Tracy and
Melissa, soon made me feel comfortable and at ease. We went back to the OR, and soon she began my
local case, that’s right, I was awake for the surgery. Dr Schmidt gave me a local anesthetic, which I
hardly felt. My biggest fear is that it was going to hurt, but there was hardly any pain at all. Any time I
thought I was feeling anything I would let her know and she would just add more anesthetic. I could not
believe how easy it was, before I knew it the surgery was over and I was on my way home.
After my surgery I felt no pain, zip, nada. Later I felt only what I might call tenderness, like I wouldn’t
want to rub my eyes, but still, really no pain. The day after surgery I had very mild swelling and little
redness, but I could already tell I looked amazing. Day 2 I was back to work.
Dr. Schmidt called me the night of surgery to check on me and saw me again the very next morning.
Even though I felt great, it was very nice to get the attention after surgery. I always felt like she and her
staff were available for any questions, I would have.
I highly recommenced Dr. Alexandra Schmidt for any plastic surgery’s you may be considering.

After breast feeding and losing weight, my breasts were in need of some help. My friend who works for Blue Water Spa told me about Dr. Law’s meticulous, precise, and thorough nature. She told me he had been searching for a fellow plastic/cosmetic surgeon to join his practice and finally found the perfect fit with Dr. Schmidt after three years of searching. My friend, who believes so much in Dr. Law, described Dr. Schmidt’s technique, knowledge, and professionalism as the equivalent of Dr. Law’s. I scheduled my first ever breast augmentation and mastopexy consultation with Dr. Schmidt. I then visited three other well know, accredited, experienced plastic/cosmetic surgeons in the Raleigh and Greenville area (figured four options would give me a true guide as to which type of surgery/technique would give me the best results). I visited Dr. Schmidt for a second follow-up consultation and decided from her gentle nature, knowledge of my surgical procedure, and willingness to provide me with a step-by-step discussion of how a breast augmentation and mastopexy surgery is completed for a second time, she was the right fit for me. I began my journey by examining and touching implants. I reviewed the warranty of each brand of implant online. I went with Mentor. I was going for a natural look with fullness, just wanted to feel like my breasts were awake and alive again. Surgery took about 4.5 hours. Yes, the thought of general anesthesia was a little scary, but I decided I could overcome that fear for two beautiful breasts. I am now 5 weeks post-op and loving every minute of it (best gift I ever gave myself, hands down, or should I say, breasts up!!). Dr. Schmidt did a beautiful and so precise augmentation/mastopexy on me. I am now using scar cream recommended by Dr. Schmidt and my scars are healing well. Dr. Schmidt cares about giving her patients the natural results they desire, which is one of the many reasons I chose her for my surgery.
