Dr. Wyllie was my sons neurologist throughout the 90's. It seemed to take a lot to get her to accept him as a patient. In some ways, though I don't know it as fact, it seemed almost as though she was testing our commitment to our sons care. Once she did accept him as a patient we could not have hoped for a more committed physician. While he was in the hospital for nearly 30dys being tested to see if he would be a surgical candidate she was there every single day checking on him. Though she can seem a bit abrupt she is obviously very intelligent and knowledgeable and always made sure all our questions were answered. After what seemed like an eternity and a million tests he was NOT a candidate for brain surgery. The day she told us this she was very compassionate and considerate of our feelings. He was referred for a VNS which has brought a big decrease in the # and severity of seizures. I would highly recommend Dr. Wyllie. The Beville's

Dr. elain Wyllie was my son's Neurologist from 1992 until March 2009 she by my standards, which are very high, the best Neurologist we found. My son had a TBI in 1992 Dr.Wyllie visited my son daily in the hospital, yelled at the nurses to change his wet bed, assured me to send him to Health Hill at the time it's been renamed, for Physical Therapy, I didn't want my son to leave the hospital. My son started having seizures at the age of four, Dr. Elaine Wyllie was always helpful, and I asked my opinions on my son's medication, since I was knowledgable, I read up on his condition and I knew more then the nurses on his levels what they should be be and his medication. I thank God Almightly for Dr. Wyllie the last 17 years would have been pure hell for me and my family, without God her and her staff. Bless you Dr. Wyllie keep up the great work and bedside manner. This doctor is very interested in diagnosing psychogenic seizures when a patient does not exhibit typical epilepsy EEG. Since there are other reasons, aside from psychogenic seizures, that cause seizures, non-typically, other avenues must be attempted first such as anti-seizure meds that typically do not work with psychogenic seizure patients. Dr. Wyllie visited my child once in the five days during the hospital stay and diagnosed my child with this horrible diagnosis, (unethical.) Also, told me that if I examined other avenues to attempt to help my child it would do more harm to my child and all she needed was a shrink. My child was released while still having full body seizures. I took my child to a few shrinks who all disagreed with the doctors diagnosis. The we went to a neurologist, geneticist and endocrinologist. She was found to have a number of health issues that can and do lead to seizures and which Dr. Wyllie overlooked in her haste to diagnose psychogneic seizures. Beware
